Hello. i have one but the motor needs to be rebuilt. Any suggestions?

I have that same exact peerless repulsion motor. I had it completley overhauled and boy it sure looks new

A Swedish electrician Would call you a fool when you use the Fuse box to start the machine

You should hook up a magnetic starter to it. It's not good for the motor to be started like this.

For a 2HP 1750RPM single phase motor, you don't need a mag starter. If that motor was a 5HP or some huge motor with massive starting amps then yes but not for this one. Also that motor works differently then the cap start motors we use so much now.

yep thats a repulsion start motor judgjing by the sound of it starting. they draw alot less starting amps than most other motors.

you just have to admire the quality of these old machines! its very hard to find a new one that is quiet! and a new one that will last as long!
