It takes at least 3 to 4 years for a car to go from drawing board to showroom. The Tahoe and other GMT900 hybrids were planned in 2005, and finished in 2008. The volt was first mentioned at the tail end of 2006. Thats why it is taking so long for it to appear. This technology has never been produced in this sense.
