  • Hey PLEASE REPLY TO THIS ASAP! i want to buy a professional mic but every mic is really expensive and i dont have the money , can you please let me know of any good mics that are a cheaper price and record good for macbook?

  • @JenniferDeMusic What is your budget? Not sure we can help... unfortunately, you do pay for what you get in most circumstances.

  • @soundpurestudios my budge would be around the 1,000 - 2,000 buks

  • @JenniferDeMusic We absolutely can make something that sounds great happen for you. Do you want to talk about this today? We've got a serious staff of guys here that help make budgets (even smaller ones) work really, really well. If you want to call, you can reach us toll free at 1-888-528-9703 (press 1 for audio), or international, +1-919-682-5552 (press 1). We should be able to help you get sorted out today. $2000 should be able to get you results that you will be proud of.

  • to buy these 2 mic I have to sell my guitar...so..... :D

  • @strumTEST Well, that won't be great for your recordings! ;)

We can certainly help you identify some more affordable equipment if you are in the market for upgrading your sound quality. That being said, I will admit, we don't exactly specialize in "cheap" anything.

  • Is it just me or is this one a little bit buzzy? 3:29 for example.

  • @Fichtezxc Tough to say for sure, since this one is sold and we can't verify for you in person, but it is HIGHLY unlikely. The action, necks, frets are about as good as any acoustic on the planet. And, because of the neck design, they essentailly don't move and misbehave the way that most acoustic guitars do. Could just be a handful of bad notes, coupled with a very string-oriented microphone positioning.

  • Sorry but, what cables do you use for the mics? Thanks :)

  • @JIMISPACEACE We are big fans of Mogami mic cable here at the studios, and tend to use them almost exclusively- we used Mogami in this particular recording. If you are interested in picking them up, please do so on our website... also, if you need any help or recommendations for any time of recording or guitar gear, we are here for you!

  • You've got my curiosity working now with this" price-points" topic..what does it mean?

  • @heycolslaw It's another way of saying that McPherson has set pricing but that they have a fairly wide range of prices. Let us know if you need more info. Visit our site and see what we mean or call any time!

  • I can only DREAM of playing one let alone buying one. There's not an outlet within 200mi of where I live. the day I win publishers clearing house will be the day you see me on their doorstep! (which has the same amount of odds of it really happening)LOL!

  • @heycolslaw McPherson offers a range of options at different price-points. you may be surprised to hear that one may be closer to reality than you think! check them out on our site! They are truly amazing works of art. we just got 3 new ones in stock a few weeks ago. (one is a brazilian model!! ridiculous!)

  • How does a redwood 12 string sound? Im curious.. has McPherson ever made one?

  • @heycolslaw Thanks for the question! We have not had a 12-string from McPherson in stock but I do believe they make them. I've played all the McPhersons that have come to our shop and I would guess that the 12-string version of these would be full-bodied and balanced with insane overtones! I would be happy to talk to McPherson and get more specific details for you if you are interested. We just got new McPhersons in stock, by the way! thanks for checking out this video!

  • How does a redwood 12 string sound? Im curious.. have you ever made one?

  • I'm looking at something like a U87. A piece on ingenuity at it's finest. Awesome guitar play brother... guitar gods bless your sales ;)

  • @heatfilter Thanks very much for the nice comment and support. If you want to talk to us about your specific needs, we would be very glad to help. We keep U87's in stock at the lowest possible pricing, but also sell a large number of other superb alternatives. Depending on the type of work that you are doing, we can definitely point you in the right direction. Thanks again for the post!

  • Once again... even with $20000 worth of equipments..

I'm as impressed as a king presented with a mule carrying a homeless peasant.

Proving that great music is channeled through great playing and not through expensive equipments.

  • @azngreenteas We would certainly agree that a great player is a fundamental necessity for great results. But that being said, you put a great player with a crappy guitar, cheap mics, bad mic preamp, crappy a/d converter, and you have a great player and a crappy sounding result- you can't capture the subtle nuances of tone, articulation, detail, warmth, etc. with garbage gear. And for that matter, a cheap guitar won't produce those sounds no matter how good the player is.

  • @soundpurestudios

eh,, personally i think this player made the guitar sound worse..

  • @soundpurestudios

Mcpherson guitar usually have way more overtune and sustain

every mcpherson guitar this guy played...sounded like a normal 1k guitar.. ;o

  • @Han414 Let me venture to guess that you are playing this back on a laptop... If the answer is yes, then I would add this to the equation: $5,000 world class guitar played back through 25-cent laptop speakers would certainly make it difficult to discern the differences between a $12 Mexican Ukelele, and a world-class guitar like the McPherson... just a possibility.

  • @soundpurestudios

well sure my speaker isnt that great.

but is well enough to help me to tell this guys playin isnt any good for the demonstration of the guitar

..i listened to the mp3 samples of mcpherson guitars on other sites...

they ring louder than longer than almost any other guitars i heard so for on this laptop.

but the mcphersons this guy played..in all of ur videos sounds worse than my 1700 dallor taylor.

im sorry if u find it offensive..but i think u should know that..this guys isnt

  • @Han414 The speaker says it all... we don't take any offense. You are not comparing what you are listening to or hearing to a reasonable environment to actually be making the kind of comments that you are making.

I would also venture to guess that you are not watching the movies in HD... the HD audio quality is much better than the audio quality that you will get in SD.

Youtube compression may be tricking you as well.

  • @soundpurestudios

selling the guitar..hes selling his skills..

or maybe it was the recording...but i kinda doubt it..

  • @azngreenteas Give a guy like jeff beck any guitar and he would blow you away! recorded or not!

  • @lanlanbinks Thanks for the comment- that being said, there is nothing worse than a great performance by a great player ruined by a mediocre-sounding recording. Sure, sheer technical abilities of a player that can rip through a performance like John Garris (or Jeff Beck) may look impressive, if you put the equivalent of a cardboard guitar in his hands and record it with cheap gear, the sound is guaranteed to disappoint. Our view- capture great players with the best gear possible and get both!

  • once again you made my day , I am completly lost because I love your match paired earhtworks , but this couple of 87's sounds superb and the choice of millennia with Neumann's really clever choice !!!

so many combinations for brilliant sounds Hats off guys

hey the guitarist looks like Marc Cohn !!!

    Best regards Rémy

  • @remyleloup Hey Remy, Thanks for the note! We aren't here to confuse you, and can definitely help narrow your choices based on the kind of sound you are going for. You can always call us (international) +1 919-682-5552, or shoot us an e-mail where we can help narrow the selection down to something specific. The great thing about the super high-end gear is that it usually sounds great if you know how to use it, just different!

  • I love Neumann =) Superb sounds here.

thanks for the comment on my channel =)

    -juli

  • @9000juli9000 Thanks Juli, the 87's are definitely a "standard"
