I was thinking about doing basically the same thing you did with the music and all synced to chickens xDDD

  • and its gone...

  • lol

  • Hello owl. Good bye mouse!

  • Beautiful!!!

  • I imagine they wouldn't catch too much if they actually flew that slowly, unless the prey was deaf and paralyzed.=P

    Amazing video <3

  • @quackimaduck000 they are faster and when they fly, theyre primary and secondary feathers on their wings are thicker which makes them more silent when they fly. I am a HUGE owl expert. Love them to death. :)

  • @realsaraSKELLINGTON they really are brilliant creatures, aren't they? =)

  • @quackimaduck000 i know! :) they are just so beautiful! got to love them.

  • @kyoushu951

    u just made my day

  • Wow. This is beautiful.

I live in Fort McMurray AB, I've only seen one owl since I moved here. Hopefully I'll see some more.

  • 1:33 do they ever fumble or get stuck?

  • Occasionally, great grey owls can get they're talons stuck while diving in the snow for prey. But, these northern owls are pretty accurate with their hunting techniques. I've never seen them fumble or get stuck. I have seen them carry away grass rather than a mouse!

  • @CanadaWild to be precise, this happens to most owls. This usually happens to the immature owls.

  • nyctea scandiaca

  • silent fliers wow.

  • wonderful footage.- Owls are such a joy to watch ;) Thx for sharing!

  • Nice birds i am are Birdwatcher i Norway.

How place i Canad must i am traveling to for look this bird in wild life?

  • You can see snowy owls and the other species in this video in northern Alberta, Canada. I filmed these birds just north of Edmonton.

  • @CanadaWild Just to add on; I've seen these in some parts of Northern Manitoba. Like around Churchill I think? It was a long time ago.

  • @jokulen What?

  • so beautiful when the bird's wings first opens and it's all in slow motion and stuff, just beautiful!

  • looks like it happens so fast they would never know what hit them.

lets not forget its not like you can hear them coming.

  • gg...

  • Amazing Snowy Owls! Great vid ^.^ I would like to see one of any kind and have it in my arm and touch it :-)

  • Love it!

  • The way they grab the mouse is beautiful.

  • very nice creatures, i love all the owls the way they live in their wild.

  • Just amazing-fantastic video.

    Cheers

    Debra

  • hahaha, 1:32 : it's fit got all in to the snow lol , i that it got stuck :D

  • even though the owls beautiful and all,i feel so bad about the mouse.....

  • Thats illogical

  • Snowy, Hawk, and Great Gray Owls! The largest owls in North America. Their world is more complex and fascinating that people realize. They are honed predators, precisely adapted to prey on those wiley lemings.

  • @CanadiaNecro1 Actually the Great Grey Owl is the Largest if you get technical with it.

  • i love how they don't even stop to attack they just keep flying.. i wonder what is going through the minds of those mice lol

  • @evoke1988 oh my gosh, Im about to die! lol XD

  • I got goosbumps when he took off.

  • Fantastic footage!

  • Magnificent!

  • One of my two most favorite birds...Ravens and of course, Owls. They are sooo mysterious. Especially the northern White owls, because they remind me of how a ghost looks in a sense..

  • @ocean88maiden me too, well the females anyways, the female snowy owls are almost all white this is because they need to blend into the snow while protecting their babies. Males are just black and white all over almost like this one.

  • Wow what beautiful animals! *sighs* What I would give to fly.....:)

  • Absolutely specTACular! FIVE stars!

  • I love all your owl videos=]

    So great! I love owls.

  • Poor mouse! But great vid. Expecially helps in referencing. :)

  • Natures Death from Above

  • staged?

  • falcoperegrinus82, Some of the owls were re-introduced to the wild after being injured and rehabilitated. We had to feed a couple owls mice since they needed to relearn how to hunt in the wild again. I'm not about making staged videos.

  • @CanadaWild I'm doubtful. These owls are easy to bait in winter. You don't "re-teach" rehabilitated owls to hunt after releasing them, either. It's good footage, and not made less by the fact that the shots are staged. Photographers who dislike baiting owls only take that position because they are jealous that they don't know how to get the shots themselves. Don't make excuses for what you do, and say it how it is. Thanks for sharing.

  • Love this video, owls are such adorable creatures.

  • i love it xP

  • superb

  • This is truly excellent footage.

    Owls are such magnificent creatures.

    Thanks for posting it.

  • That is amazing to watch...thankyou.

  • This owl footage was shot 300 fps to 500 fps. I have a high speed film camera that can shoot up to 500 fps. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Didn't I see the Snowy Owl's attack footage on National Geographic once? I think they even put them on the front page of the NG magazine at least once.

How many frames per second is this?
