hey man these are great vids im a pc noob my self working on building a budget gamer pc i wish i had watched your vid befor i fried my first mobo great job cant wait for the next one man!
your stupid..... always put your graphic card in the slot closest to the cpu and also for the ram read your manual it will tell you the best way to put them in
Wow for a pc building noob you did a phenomenal job. You are well articulated, easy to understand, and great at explaining things in detail. Thanks for the lesson and keep up the good work :)
I liked how you mentioned the 32 mb of cache on the hard drive.... VERY important.!!!!I am getting ready to build the I7 950 computer and I need a tower that already has the 'set off' brass screws or risers already pre-manufactured and ready for my board. Do you know of a case that is cheap (less than 200 dollars) that comes ready to go for a x58 board?
Mad dumb you never put a graphics card in the last slot not just because it has the least ammount of airflow BUT because it doesnt run it at full power but im glad at the end you fixed it good build
your computer case confuzes me... you either already put the psu in when you installed the hdd or the case came with a psu which usually means its a cheap case but it doesnt look cheap at all unless the casue uses very thin sheet metal
for n00bs who want to use this as a guide: DONT. He did a lot of things wrong, and he skipped attaching all the power cables, the USB cables on the case, and also didnt even show himself attaching the SATA cables to the motherboard
@XxXDamirXxX haha you're one of those guys that prowls around for videos that you can negatively comment on, now think hard, whos the one wasting their lives???
Great video, man. Usefull info for someone who has no idea how to build a computer. I like how your Sister or somebody was yelling in the background at the end there. Too funny.
i just brought a gigabyte motherboard a;a cooler master atx full case just to get back online i used my amd x 64 cpu and a old psu but thanks for the illustration it came
in handy i have an asus m4a89gtd pro/usb3 that i'll put my phneom IIx6 and
Ok bro, tip for you. The way to get the best cable management possible
You put the wires in first, lay them down and use ductape or the plastic cable holders, then you install the Motherboard, it makes it a lot easier if your PSU is modular, so everything can be layed down/taped in first, and then you stick the Motherboard in there, then the PSU and the 24-pin through where you want it to be.
My Antec 300 looks nearly identical to tjharlow's builds, and he uses huge cases. mine's wimpy
@TheBoeing144 alright i too am planning to build me a old tower this one is goin to have 3 western digital ( 40 gig ) one tape drive a dvd or cd rom and one floppy drive im not sure if the mother board still works i guess when i turn it on ill find out
Thanks man i just watched your videos because i want to build my own one but i didnt know if i knew every part and where it goes thanks for helping out man
@BeginingOfTheLast that's not the point though. the parts he used were more expensive than anything i can afford even now, and he could only afford it because it's a family pc so i assume his parents funded alot of it too. however, i thought it was common knowledge that building your own was far better value for money than a stock pc regardless of budget.
Hey man, I watched all three of your videos. Nicely done btw. I'm looking to build a new rig myself & these videos helped me to learn how to do so. I'm a noob when it comes to building computers seeings how I've never done it. However, when it comes to fixing them I'm pretty good at that.
Again, nice job and keep up the good work you taught me something. I will be subscribing to you.
@patroll1994 A quality 450w PSU would still run that system with ease. A shit 1000w PSU would crap out after a few minutes. There's alot more to powersupplies then noobs like you know about.
Trust me a good 650w PSU will power most machines unless they are in SLI or Crossfire.
Nice vids man, awesome first build with awesome components. Screw everyone talking crap to you, there just trying to bring you down like you said. Thanks for taking time out of your life to post instructional videos to help people.
lmao guess and check with cables on a motherboard! holy hell do you want to fry something! always look t your motherboard manual first and check to see what power cables go where
I just wanted to compliment your videos. I watched Part 1 and 2, and I must say I am pleased with them. The visuals were crystal clear, you spoke at a pace that was quite acceptable and quite clearly.
You were informative with step-by-step instructions on what to do. I will certainly subscribe.
Be happy, you're the first person I've subscribed to that isn't anime-based. Again, thank you for the videos.
hey man i noticed you put the card in the wrong pci you put it in the third one when you should've put in the first i noticed at the end of the video it was fixed :)
nice video man this a nice instructions on building no I'm pretty sure when people finish building there pc the first thing in their mind is "How da hell do I get windows on this!?" You should make some videos of how to install an OS after build. This video seemed pretty clear about everything. LOL my back up job will be as a technician hey I spend most of free time on it so I don't become a Animator or Cartoon Creator I'll just become a Technician they're well paid. You earned a sub :D
OMG i am so suprized that your a starter, you need more cooling then you can make a overclocking video and keep the componants like buy another one of these grafix cards and put then in raid, the fraim feat will be better and save up for watter cooling and dont buy a pri made one they cost like 2000$ so make one yourself. sorry fot the inglish
ok, well im not sure what plannet u are from but here on earth static electricity is all around us, as we move we generate electricity, just 200volts is enough to permanently damage a component,!! like i sed in my post, we dont feel that ESD is in us untill we feel a shock say when we touch a door handle which is around 2,000 volts
end of the day, a wrist strap and a grounding mat is the only way to prevent ESD some people wear latex gloves but it does nothing
great job man! Im 23 and i only started knowing how to build a PC about 3 weeks ago. But good job and i think im going to build one too later in the year.
hey i noticed that u didnt ground ureself..do u think its actualy imporant:S because the other day i took out my ram (it was defective had to ship it back to tigerdirect) and well im worried that i prob dammaged something...but i read some reviews that the posibilty of damaging ure motherboard with static is very very low...
no, see ESD can damage any component even if u dont touch the chips or pins cos the electric jumps, when we feel an electric shock passed from person to person, thats bwt 2,000volts. a static charge of only 200volts is suffivient to damage a computer component.
Well, a small light gets lit at about 1,5volt... in school we had one of those batteries conected to our tongue and that hurt quite a bit. In the train lines, whetever they're called, there's 1k volts... which is said to kill you if you stand about one metre away. We saw a documentary about it and all that crap they put you up with in school you know.
There's gotta have been a misunderstanding somewhere :S
Modular for the PSU means that there are less cables, meaning less messy, right? I'm starting to get scared because I'm building it with an Antec skeleton and I've read that it is really messy and little room for cables. Any help?

help me out. like when you first boot it up do you have to like go into bios and change the settings to boot from cd/dvd drive to install your os or what?
Yeah man i agree with you, because the power supply grounds the case and parts so that the static electricity doesn't short them out... for all you people out there follow this advice.
so your saying when you wire up your psu it grounds it ??if so does the psu need to be pluged into the wall???i dont have a clue bout this as you can see !!! i would kick myself if i fryed a component :)
Yes you plug the PSU into the wall but then turn it to the off setting and your case is grounded, then just touch and unpainted part of the case for about 10 seconds and your static electricity is gone
Hey nice job thanks for uploading this i'm trying to watch every single video i possibly can about how to build a pc as i wanna build my own instead of getting my cousin to build one for me i was just wondering how much did the parts inside your pc cost all together (Not including the case)
Man you rock im building a computer too, don't worry about bad comments they probably don't even now how to turn on there computer.
All ways remember the chicks like the popular guys right now, but later they like the smart ones. keep it up, learn as much as you can it will help you later.
Great video. You are well spoken and present the information in an organized fashion. I have built a couple of PC's myself over the past decade, but it feels like the options & choices today have become alot more complex since my first Pentium MMX build. :o)
I will contact you to get your opinion on a new PC I would like to build.
really no need, you earth yourself meerly by touching the case. just try not to move ur feet too much, and to touch any of the cards actually faces, just use the edges and corners etc
hey man these are great vids im a pc noob my self working on building a budget gamer pc i wish i had watched your vid befor i fried my first mobo great job cant wait for the next one man!

yeah

@LEFTIE08

LEFTTIE08 2 years ago
Yes you plug the PSU into the wall but then turn it to the off setting and your case is grounded, then just touch and unpainted part of the case for about 10 seconds and your static electricity is gone

first.. you placed brackets wrong way on dvd unit.. second.. you should put graphic card on 1st pci-e slot or 2nd cuz those are 16x.

Hey nice job thanks for uploading this i'm trying to watch every single video i possibly can about how to build a pc as i wanna build my own instead of getting my cousin to build one for me i was just wondering how much did the parts inside your pc cost all together (Not including the case)

Great video. You are well spoken and present the information in an organized fashion. I have built a couple of PC's myself over the past decade, but it feels like the options & choices today have become alot more complex since my first Pentium MMX build. :o)
I will contact you to get your opinion on a new PC I would like to build.
Thanks for sharing.

really no need, you earth yourself meerly by touching the case. just try not to move ur feet too much, and to touch any of the cards actually faces, just use the edges and corners etc
