It sucks that the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 didn't make it as a premium car in Gran Turismo 5, Volkswagen/Bugatti probably has interest in dead end products like Forza, the cockpit would have looked superb with the PS3's superior hardware and Polyphony Digital's further work and dedication with Gran Turismo 5.

The Xbox 360 has an abyssmal graphics card compared to the PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation 3 isn't advertised as a gaming system solely with Blu-Ray, Xbox 360 cannot do 1080p on any hardware revision nor game, the Xbox 360 only look good some other games because some games are optimized to run on its older hardware.

Yes, I own all of those games, I am not a poor 14 year old that needs to rely on my mother to purchase video games. I purchased a PlayStation 3 with vigorous research because I decided that the Wii is a last generation console entirely based on gimmicks and the Xbox 360 is simply an Xbox with better graphics, no innovation and uninteresting exclusives. Gran Turismo 5 takes 45 to install if you decide to install optional content to reduce load time.

Gears of War is on PC. Halo 1 and 2 are on PC. Fable 1 and 3 are on PC. Mass Effect 1 and 2 are on PC, and then there's crack down which is the only exclusive you've stated even though both the first and second are mediocre at best.
Except Mass Effect 2, otherwise they are called "console exclusives" which still mean nothing because if a multi-console game was released an audience would reach more for the PC version because they don't want to be scammed by Microsoft on Xshit's Xbox Live along with terrible graphics from the 360.

I don't understand this; why do some people (mostly forza fanboys) say that Forza 3 has (way) better physics? GT is a simulator since PS1 and that's a long time ago... atleast, longer then Forza. Sure, prologue doesn't has rollover and damage, but it is just a demo. A very nice Demo.

@iRepBtown theres over 1,000 cars because they make so many different models of one car...I remember when i had gt4 on ps2, and gt4 was a legendary game no doubt about it but I remember there were like 6 different nissan gtr r34 skylines. thats why there has always been so many cars in gt, and plus in forza 3 theres a new car pack with10 new cars every single month...thats 120 new cars in every year(at least before forza 4 comes out) I definetly will not be dissapointed overall with gt5 though

I'm really annoyed with this game actually. Surely if they have the best physics for a driving game and the best graphics so why can they not make the Veyrons rear spoiler to come up and for its horse power gauge to work rather than have it stuck on 1001. You can even see them modelling the car with the tape with the spoiler up. This is a great game none the less but I Just wish that they would make an update so that you have the option to put the stock spoiler up and for the hp gauge to work.
@Freodeo Anything you can think of that has to do with cars, you can do in forza 3. Engine swap, install turbo, lower suspension, etc, and on top of that, you can change gear ratio on transmission, and there's so much stuff you can tweak, you can easily spend hours getting it exactly the way you want it.

I find the game very realistic to real life driving. Just don't try bringing in "hey, but you can't fit AWD to a 2JZ Supra in real life", cause that is, like you say, "for fun". But the way they handle, and the way you feel the wheelwobble in the outer front tire during a turn. ah..

@danielalien I figured it was all show, no go, but physics is what matters with simulation racing games, not graphics (not that the graphics on forza are that bad). I figured they wouldn't take as much time to fine tune the physics because they are trying to pack more vehicles/tracks than forza.
No way GT5 would have done this much work with 1000 cars.
Forza 3 is the best racing sim, though I'll get GT5 when it comes out too, whenever that is....

Either you've never played FM3 or you've never driven a car, either way you can't comment on FM3's realism.

@1993gandy I've driven numerous cars in FM3 and I can tell you they feel pretty much bang on. T10's website classes it as a Sim as well, as does every single reviewer (IGN claimed it was the most realistic racer out on the market for consoles at the time). You'd be a fool to call it Arcade.

You continuously mentioned download times which has nothing to do with the hardware of the PlayStation 3. None of those games either have long loading times if you install games onto the harddrive which takes upto 15 minutes, just as on a regular PC. I purchased a PlayStation 3 with vigorous research because I decided that the Wii is a last generation console entirely based on gimmicks and the Xbox 360 is simply an Xbox with better graphics, no innovation and uninteresting exclusives. Gran Turismo 5 takes 45 to install if you decide to install optional content to reduce load time.

@iRepBtown theres over 1,000 cars because they make so many different models of one car...I remember when i had gt4 on ps2, and gt4 was a legendary game no doubt about it but I remember there were like 6 different nissan gtr r34 skylines. thats why there has always been so many cars in gt, and plus in forza 3 theres a new car pack with10 new cars every single month...thats 120 new cars in every year(at least before forza 4 comes out) I definetly will not be dissapointed overall with gt5 though

I'm really annoyed with this game actually. Surely if they have the best physics for a driving game and the best graphics so why can they not make the Veyrons rear spoiler to come up and for its horse power gauge to work rather than have it stuck on 1001. You can even see them modelling the car with the tape with the spoiler up. This is a great game none the less but I Just wish that they would make an update so that you have the option to put the stock spoiler up and for the hp gauge to work.

Engine swap, install turbo, lower suspension, etc, and on top of that, you can change gear ratio on transmission, and there's so much stuff you can tweak, you can easily spend hours getting it exactly the way you want it.

About the Viper, that is very feasable. It depends alot on how wide the corner is! Also, was it stock? Did it have stock tires and aerodynamics?
I find the game very realistic to real life driving. Just don't try bringing in "hey, but you can't fit AWD to a 2JZ Supra in real life", cause that is, like you say, "for fun". But the way they handle, and the way you feel the wheelwobble in the outer front tire during a turn. ah..

@danielalien I figured it was all show, no go, but physics is what matters with simulation racing games, not graphics (not that the graphics on forza are that bad). I figured they wouldn't take as much time to fine tune the physics because they are trying to pack more vehicles/tracks than forza.
No way GT5 would have done this much work with 1000 cars.
Forza 3 is the best racing sim, though I'll get GT5 when it comes out too, whenever that is....

It was Turn 10 and Microsoft who produced it, it's classed as a racing simulation and it doesn;t have a "simulation mode", the gameplay itself is a simulator. It has a physics engine that runs at 360FPS, on-demand real time telementary, and 500 fully detailed cars. And you are really saying it's an Arcade game? Either you've never played FM3 or you've never driven a car, either way you can't comment on FM3's realism.

@1993gandy I've driven numerous cars in FM3 and I can tell you they feel pretty much bang on. T10's website classes it as a Sim as well, as does every single reviewer (IGN claimed it was the most realistic racer out on the market for consoles at the time). You'd be a fool to call it Arcade.

And I know it's not a crashing sim, but the fact is, damage models are expected from any current gen racer. It is inevitable that GT5 will be compared with the other games of it's generation.
The fact is, it's not the real driving simulator when there are so many issues with the cars. Hell, there isn't even engine braking, which is ridiculous considering it's such a big part of performance driving.

@windflasher0 Microsoft is a big greedy corporate entity also, yes. I never said they weren't. Which is why I'm not on the interwebs shamelessly promoting their good fortune. I just think that ppl that get on here and root for MS or Sony to win the "console wars" are just fuckin idiots. Please don't count me in that lot, sir. I'm in it for the games, and like a good John I go wherever the action is. ;)

I was simply pointing out that you have no place labeling FM3 as ANYTHING because you don't have any real experience with it. If you did, you wouldn't have made a boneheaded claim like: the driving aids can't be turned off.

@danielalien the graphics can't really compare to GT5. Well Forza 3 can compare to GT5P. I saw the GT5 damage vids on youtube and they have way better graphics in GT5

I just said so. GT5 has got better graphics. But the physics and drivability in Forza 3 is heaps better. Also... Umm.. Forza came out last year?? In this business you can't compare last years game with next years game, since the technology advances so quickly. Wow! That's what happened between Sony and Microsoft too! The Xbox came out a year earlier than the PS3! How are they then comparable?

Let me make it simple for you.
You can't judge an unreleased game based on a previous version.
The physics for GTHD were completely revamped from GT4(ps2). You can't judge GT5:Prologue based on GTHD because the same change has happened.
Same for Prologue and GT5.
