  • just curious, why is your ableton different colors every video?

  • @xDJxMontezx Why not?

  • Thanks dude. You helped me a lot. I hope you can reach anything you want in this life.

  • Have been following this series from the start and they are so good man, deffs the best on youtube, incredibly helpful, thankyou so much!

  • Thx for the tut ! What program are you using to record your desktop?!

  • Couldn't work out why I couldn't get the same sound for a while, the 4th oscillator is Square 3 not Square D! Cracking vids though

  • a lot of people tend to think that you need NI's massive or Rob Papen plugs to make dirty basslines. You sir, have proved them wrong!

  • Wow man. I just watched you make an amazing dubstep track in a matter of minutes. I'm overwhelmed. amazing

  • The dislike bar is like Lady Gaga's dick! Short and not supposed to be there.

  • @MrFluffyTortoise operator comes with live 8.2.5 it is in the instruments folder

  • easily the best tutorials ive seen. You really explain things and give good tips. Thank you so much.

  • When i tried to change the waves it stayed the same sound and the "square" line stayed the same.

  • Amazing, thx dude

  • Couldn't you increase the volume of the original bass by adding a saturator to it and increasing the drive a little bit and play with all the other tools in the saturator? I know that worked for me.

  • Could you do a more in depth tutorial on changing the rate of the wobbles? This is great though, thanks for showing me the magic of Operator.

  • Amaizing Tutorials!! Thanks so much man!!

  • Excellent tutorials!!! Clean and precise! You rocks man, thanks so much!!

  • Excellent tutorials!!! Clean and precise! You rocks man, thanks so much!!

  • I could imagine myself getting stoned stupid and just fukin around with this shit

  • i tried making it and it sounded pretty similar, but when i put on the auto filter and it got shitty, any chance you can upload the patch you used?

  • this shit's legit. :D

  • Thank you!! awesome

  • This series is excellent! You have given a great gift to newbs everywhere...

  • Hey I've been watching your videos all day! You're the man... nuff said.

But I've seen in other videos how people use key mapping to change the rate rather than showing the automation from auto filter.

I find your way a lot easier, I was just wondering if you knew how to do it the other way? Is there a way to map different rates to different keys?

  • Very clear, concise and east to follow. also good to hear a Scottish accent. Keep up the good work

  • Awesome!!

  • Thanks for the tips keep them coming homie

  • Maybe you are playing it on a different octave mate, press Z or X to go up or down an octave and see if that helps.

  • going through your series now, i can't thank you enough for putting in your time and making these! great tutorials man!

  • @danlar84 It's no problem dude ! I enjoy sharing these techniques plus If I get partnered by youtube I will earn some cash from these vids :]

  • @eArtrash

You should be youtube partner :)

  • There is a cut at 2.12 right?

Because i did exactly the same and my base sounds diffrent :(

    Can you help me?

  • at 1:36 what did you do?

Are you feeding the operator with the original bass line into a new operator?

    If so..how?

  • @RobotSlaughterhouse I just copied and pasted.

  • @eArtrash yo I dont get that. You had the operator then u say u put in another operator ubt I dont get what happened to the firdst one. Was it deleted. Because suddenly there was written SUB under the new operator.

PLease help. also my my bassline doesnt sound right when it hits the lower octaves, meaining that it's not melodically right. Don't know how to say it but I would expect it to sound like your bass but mine sounds a little off the tone. I did the bassline myself although it's the same

  • @Arthurrello As I said to the guy above...I just copied and pasted the operator in. If your sub is out of tune...it must either be playing the wrong note...or you have detuned it somehow.

  • @eArtrash ok thank you, I will figure that somehow. Also one more thing. I was wondering at 08:36 when you change to operator, your pink line looks similar to the one below. Mine looks completely distorted. Dont know why. I think I did everyhing properly. Please help. I sincerely appreciate the fact that you take so much time in helping us noobs. Cheers m8

  • @Arthurrello right click the automation and have a look at the options..you might want to clear envelope then copy the above envelope and paste to the track below. In hindsight, I would of been better just putting a sidechain compressor on it..I would actually recommend doing it that way. Ive got a tutorial on it...Its in one of the videos to the right here.--->

  • insane! it's cool to see the actual process of how this stuff is done especially as an interested beginner. i'm really interested in picking up ableton now. thanks again!

  • probably your best tutorial, i dont like how in the last one you randomly decided to remix someones track it threw me off. But this ones great!

  • wow!

  • @Neroese1 Sounding good right?

  • @eArtrash yea!

  • AWESOME WORK BRO. LOVE IT... SEE THIS GIVES ME IDEAS. I NEED THAT. AWESOME MAN. I'VE HAD A WRITERS BLOCK FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW. PERHAPS THIS WILL HELP.CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO IMPROVE THEM.
