Couldn't you increase the volume of the original bass by adding a saturator to it and increasing the drive a little bit and play with all the other tools in the saturator? I know that worked for me.
subscribed after watching theese tutorials, i swear to god before i watched theese i had no clue how to even use ableton, now i can make something like this (ish)
really nice and easy-to-understand explanations - just awesome
@eArtrash yo I dont get that. You had the operator then u say u put in another operator ubt I dont get what happened to the firdst one. Was it deleted. Because suddenly there was written SUB under the new operator.
PLease help. also my my bassline doesnt sound right when it hits the lower octaves, meaining that it's not melodically right. Don't know how to say it but I would expect it to sound like your bass but mine sounds a little off the tone. I did the bassline myself although it's the same
@Arthurrello As I said to the guy above...I just copied and pasted the operator in. If your sub is out of tune...it must either be playing the wrong note...or you have detuned it somehow.
@eArtrash ok thank you, I will figure that somehow. Also one more thing. I was wondering at 08:36 when you change to operator, your pink line looks similar to the one below. Mine looks completely distorted. Dont know why. I think I did everyhing properly. Please help. I sincerely appreciate the fact that you take so much time in helping us noobs. Cheers m8
@Arthurrello right click the automation and have a look at the options..you might want to clear envelope then copy the above envelope and paste to the track below. In hindsight, I would of been better just putting a sidechain compressor on it..I would actually recommend doing it that way. Ive got a tutorial on it...Its in one of the videos to the right here.--->
insane! it's cool to see the actual process of how this stuff is done especially as an interested beginner. i'm really interested in picking up ableton now. thanks again!

a lot of people tend to think that you need NI's massive or Rob Papen plugs to make dirty basslines. You sir, have proved them wrong!

Hey I've been watching your videos all day! You're the man... nuff said.
But I've seen in other videos how people use key mapping to change the rate rather than showing the automation from auto filter.
I find your way a lot easier, I was just wondering if you knew how to do it the other way? Is there a way to map different rates to different keys?

Maybe you are playing it on a different octave mate, press Z or X to go up or down an octave and see if that helps.

If so..how?
