You will notice in the video that the famous "Imperial eagle" emblem is no longer present, but the Mark Cross-designed crystal Pentastar hood ornament would later be placed on Chrysler models during this period. The 1990 Imperial is truly worthy of the brand heritage, however. Even the sporty Chrysler Laser would offer Mark Cross leathers as an option on the turbocharged XE.
can anybody answer this question? which is the upgrade, the better of the 4. A chrysler New yorker Fifth Avenue,Imperial,Salon,Landau please can anybody answer that question, that would be awsome!
The Imperial is the top-of-the-line, followed by the New Yorker Fifth Ave. Then it's the New Yorker Landau and the base model would be the Salon. The Salon basically looked like a Dodge Dynasty, but the Landau was dropped for 1991 and the Salon got the concealed headlights by then. The Imperial and Fifth Ave. are both 5 inches longer than the Landau or Salon.
I went out and bought a used 1993 Chrysler Imperial after watching this YouTube video. A very fine automobile. It's really hard to find a nice clean one. Mine is white with gray interior. What a joy it is to drive...feels like a limousine. Great car!
Love your Imperial and New Yorker vids! I love these cars...I just wish there were some old ad vids for 81 -83 Imperials. (I thought there were some - not too long ago)
Very nice video. I have a 1991 Imperial Mark Cross Edition with all the options except moon roof. You either get a good one or suffer with a bad one with transmission and engine problems. I have been lucky but believe you have to take very good care of your Imp or it will nickel and dime you to death. Also these cars have very impressive performance and good gas mileage. Try to stay away from the trouble
My 1990 Imperial is just like the one in the video, including the options listed at the end.
