In Farsi and Urdu, "Bandargah" means seaport as in "Bandar-Abbas" well know Iranian seaport in Persian Gulf. "Bandar Road" actually mean "Port Road". In Saudi Arabia, one Prince Bandar is son of previous king. In Farsi, Maimun means monkey and it is in Hindi that Bandar means monkey. In many languages same word can mean something different.
beautiful song .. but it was for 60s Karachi when Karachi was a clean city.. people were loving and when it was a joy to be in KHI.. after that thanks to Jamaat-e-Islami, MQM, PPP, N League,PPI and General Zia.. they all ruined Karachi

i have never heard the term Monkey Road for Bandar Road. The new name for this road is "M.A. Jinnah Road" for your info.
