i have this laptop and I can tell it is good but it's graphics card sucks so if u intend on running games that came after 2007/2008 u are dreaming. Also a lot of problems with finding the right up to date codecs/drivers. It also comes with Windows Vista (so u pay for it) witch I think is one of the worst operating system ever made, it will run much better on XP or win 7. Over all I think you can buy much more with that 420/430 €

You tend to get rather slow FpS because of its poor Graphics card - I am currently trying to find out how practical or possible it is to upgrade the Graphics card.

Mine says T3200 and i have no Webcam. My parents made sure of that.

Also I have COD4 and the single player doesnt run good but the multiplayer runs perfect on it in low graphics. I thought htat was weird.

Scroll down a bit and ull see Acer Crystal Eye thats the webcam folder, click on it and you'll see Acer Crystal Eye Webcam and underneath uninstall, obviously choose the first one, and TADA!! if u have any questions just msg me

well i have test some games i can run the orange box in high whit no filters at 1366x768; css run at 40fps at that res no lag really smooth and like 60-80 in 640x480 still whit highq no f. ill test cod4 tomorrow and post some benchmarks if it run ill test as well quake wars bioshock ut etc... also quake live runs great on this lap

cs YES but spore... thats tricky. Spore actually requires a good to great video card to run properly. I havent tried it out yet so if someone who has spore can tell us that would be great.

Got this laptop for Christmas 08 and using it for school, just like the person in the vid. Absolutely love it, glad I did not go for the Compaq Cq50 Presario. Still a great laptop, but its got slower performance and no volume buttons over the keyboard. No to mention this Acer has a sweet 15.6 screen

Im sure this can run the half life 2 engine (tf2 and css) but im not sure about cod4... cod4 is a graphic intensive game and i dont think this laptop can even run it.

I just purchased one and it is beautiful! I can't believe how big the screen is. But I am having a LOT of difficulty with the mouse. It will not stay on mouse! It keeps going to the + sign and will not respond to the command. The only thing I have been able to do is the back up DVDs. I can't get it to do anything at all. Is there a secret to changing the sensitivity of the mouse or is mine just odd? thanks for your help!

yah, this laptop is great, it depends on wht ur doing, causual 2.5 hours or 3 hours 2 hours for high performance, leave it onpower saver and lowest brightness and you should get good bat life, i like ur voice, to replace ram, buy the correct chip, ill tell u which one kingston 2GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz you have to unscrew the bottom compartment BUT FIRST turn ppower off take out the battary unplug it GROUND YOURSELF get a grounding braclet MAKE SURE U HAVE NO STATIC ELECTRICTY

then you release the old chip, put the new chip in gentaly at a 30 degree angle, then push down, screw the cover back on and ram upgraded

the 2GB chip is on sale at bestbuy for $34.99 which is $105 off, great deal, i got hte chi[p today, installing it tommorow,

i berlive there is are 2 1GB chips in so unless u buy 2 u will operate at 3GB

Now if you have Vista 32Byts it doesnt matter cause it will only recongnize 3

i have this laptop, it kicks ass, mine also has a t3400, this laptop is extremly great, only cons are short bat life and you are stuck with vista, there are no drivers for this machine to instal XP, the grafics are great, its light, i got it for hanukkah, i love it, i am however thinking abouit upgrading the ram from 2g to 4g

battery life is like 2.5 to 3 hours... but you can pick battery usage which is pretty good. (screen brightness and cpu usage.)
