I bought this album on my way to Night School back in the early 70's and had no idea what I had until I got home. Later found out "Doc" Wilson lived up the street from me on Rockaway Pkway at the time. Still my favorite!

Neftali, Mandrill's music crossed alot of boundaries in the 70's. Growing up in a small Arizona town which was 80 percent hispanic, we used to cruise up and down mainstreet blasting 8-tracks by Mandrill. Polk Street Carnival was a great jam to blare out the window. Thanks for the music.

Neftaly I first saw you guys back in 1973 in Cedar Rapids-Iowa where I was a foreign exchange student.I knew your music from an album my friend had here in Colombia. It was really exciting because that night you guys blew that town and the midwest. I brought Composite truth and brought back with me.You guys had flavor. Neftali this is fantastic-- you must have been really young when you recorded this.

Back in '89 I had a chance to meet Flea from the Chili Peppers and he named Mandrill as one of his strongest influences from the 70's. ---you guys really reached so many people who have gone on to carry the inspiration.
