  • Polk Street Carival B side of the Composite Truth album, great song

  • The baddest band of all time.

  • I bought this album on my way to Night School back in the early 70's and had no idea what I had until I got home. Later found out "Doc" Wilson lived up the street from me on Rockaway Pkway at the time. Still my favorite!

  • Que joyaaaaaaa!!! Paty de Barranquilla querida!

  • Este tema es un clásico en el carnaval de Barranquilla por muchoc años y todavia suna fuerte, lástima no tener el video completo.

    Muchas Gracias neftalisantiago

  • It's one of my favourite, "last year 'bout this time, our band went to San Francisco" ;) Peace and Love!

  • I didn't know Carlos also played saxophone...How many instruments did he play..??

  • Neftali, Mandrill's music crossed alot of boundaries in the 70's. Growing up in a small Arizona town which was 80 percent hispanic, we used to cruise up and down mainstreet blasting 8-tracks by Mandrill. Polk Street Carnival was a great jam to blare out the window. Thanks for the music.

  • #Childhood.

  • oh wow! Polk Street Caravan B side of Composite Truth from 1973

  • church!

  • The most important thing that I like about Mandrill is that they brought the people together at their concerts, white and black.

  • Thanks for keeping Mandrill alive for the younger folks who never had the intense pleasure of listening to this very progressive music. You guys were way ahead of your time.

  • Dear TSaxman74,

    Your welcome.

  • Is there a song that sampled this? This is too funky. The drums, the chords. Damn, great music.

  • This is one of the Barranquillas Carnival (Colombia) superhits all times. I´d like to know Why not complete this theme is?. Congratulations my friend !

  • Neftaly I first saw you guys back in 1973 in Cedar Rapids-Iowa where I was a foreign exchange student.I knew your music from an album my friend had here in Colombia. It was really exciting because that night you guys blew that town and the midwest. I brought Composite truth and brought back with me.You guys had flavor. I'm glad I can see your videos now and show them to my kids.A big hug for you man. What are you up to now?

  • Netali, one of the Wilson brothers is a doctor, right? How is he doing?

  • Neftali this is fantastic-- you must have been really young when you recorded this.

Back in '89 I had a chance to meet Flea from the Chili Peppers and he named Mandrill as one of his strongest influences from the 70's. ---you guys really reached so many people who have gone on to carry the inspiration.
