Dude my main is an arsenal merc valor rank 62 and pretty well geared, if I get in a 1v1 with anyone that knows how to use interupts and knockbacks properly there isn't much I can do, so if u get owned by a merc in a 1v1 then no, you dont know how to play...now if u stand in the open and get spammed on, that's your own damn fault, merc have amazing damage, but being focused by a decent player, we go down hard

@dudeman289 Squatting down and casting is hard to fight against i guess for some people. I mean, a non moving, totally open target is really hard for someone to kill!

It's also funny that people think its the missle that gets them, its not, its the insta casts after a few stacks. thats where the damage is. Yes I play Merc, yes I get killed my share of the time, yes I kill a decent number of people too. I would -hate- to not get killed, it would make wz boring (why i never leveled my inquis)

Hey ZybakTV, I've been playing SWTOR for only about a week or so and I have a lvl 17 Assassin and I'm having some difficulty as to what talent tree I should specialize in for leveling and what would be the best DPS overall. If you don't mind I'd really appreciate some insight.

I guess halo was just castle wolfenstein on an alien ring with a slightly different UI and completely different story, but you still just pick up weapons and shoot bad guys.

I see alot of ppl sayin swtor is like wow rift is like wow, wow is like everquest etc. its the same genre of game, of course its going to be similar. Most FPS's are very similar. Many RTS's are simlar; Starcraft, warcraft, civilization, age of empires.

Its the little things that seperate games of a simlar genre.

@ForwardUntoDawn I understand what you are saying. Earlier I watched a vid of a Vanguard AS and was thinking 'Oh, so it's like a shaman'. That isn't fair to say though. It might have a few similarities but this is a different game. It IS an MMO. It DOES use some off the same mechanics that WoW utilizes, but it is NOT a knock off. I was snubbing this, but I'm thinking I might pick it up.

@ZatackTheGreat Yeah, all the players play in the same bracket. The lower levels get a buff which increases everything to level 50 stats ( If there's level 50), it basically takes the highest level guy and scales everybody else to that. It's quite unbalanced at the moment, since the lowbies don't have the PvP armor and the skills so the 50s just wipe the floor with them.

You even have vanish, backstab, etc. every single ability is the same as in WoW.

@Fellati0 the class only has two abilities requiring stealth. The "Backstab", "Vanish" and "Cloak of Shadows" like abilities are literally the only "clone" abilties. The class only has 4 melee attacks, the rest are close range force spells. The class could be described as a enh shammy with a couple rogue elements. I don't know if Assassins should open with the "backstab" anyway since it doesn't do much damage if it doesn't crit and uses 50 force out of 100 (110 if specd for it)

@tehTyrant You should be opening up with Spike. The damage isnt good but the 2 second stun is awesome for getting in a Maul if EW procs or getting in a Voltaic Strike. The assassin is kind of like a rogue but the Operative is much more rogue-like. Damage is infinitely better than an assassin right now as well.

Great looking game but im not sure if its going to rule for a long time. Im not a huge fan of SWTOR and i've never played it, but what happens if you defeat the darth vader? If there is one. Although the game seems very similiar to WoW with just Star Wars textures.
