He does have good passing skills, pretty quick for a 6'10" guy with average ball handling skills of a perimeter player, but his post up game is mediocore, & he is not a a good shooter. Richard Lewis many years ago had a better post up game. Even if the defense gives him some space, instead of shooting, he still tries to drive to the basket. Ok player, but he is no superstar. Never was. He is a role player at best.

Wrong, what you fail to realize is if he was on any other team in the league he would be a 25 point, 10+ rebounds per game. Also, you can't compare him to either of those guys simply because they play 2 different positions. Lamar is so versatile you have no idea. He can post up a guy in the paint, or he can fill a guard spot and run the triangle offense. A top power forward in the league. And he has great numbers for coming off the bench.

Odom actually has the same skill set Magic Johnson used to have, but doesn't always have the good sense to use it consistently. That's why it's so difficult to trade a player like that, lol. In the Lakers' case, the gamble to keep him finally paid off big-time last season. Now the Lakers are fortunate to have him around for four more years, enough time to snag another championship or two...
