Its not expensive and its crap.I bought the iPhone 3GS,iPhone 4,iPad2 all 32GB versions unlocked at the release date so I invested about 3K in those devices plus some hundred in Apps. And I dont even use them anymore. The 3GS has issues,the iPhone 4 had so many problems that I even bought a phone for 600$+40$ contract just so I dont have to use it anymore. And my ipad2 had issues and after one drop it was broken. I didnt bother repairing it because it sucked.

i want a 1080p camera on the back and at lease 8 mp so its not crappy like the iPad 2 and a 480 or 720 front camera with 5 or 8 mp so FaceTime and photo booth will be better not thinner because the iPad 2 is thin enough and definitely a retina display most of all!!

I'd love the iPad 3 but the Resolution is totally useless.

They should do some homework at the Viewing Distance Vs Diagonal Size Vs Aspect Ratio Vs Resolution,that will show them that at the distance we're holding the iPad and with the size of the panel higher resolution doesn't matter.

It reminds me of some illiterate guys who are getting overpriced washed out Full HD 40" LCDs with LED Backlight and they think they are better than Top Class HD Ready Plasma because they have higher resolution.

I have a 3rd gen, iPod Touch and when i use my friends 4th gen. its a huge difference! My friend doesn't notice it but since i have used mine for almost 2 years now like that, it is a big upgrade from screen resolution.

I used a second generation iPod Touch for 3 years. I now have an iPhone4S. When I used my iPod Touch after a few months I couldn't believe how bad the screen resolution was. I hope the iPad 3 gets the retina display.

This resolution would be a retina display. The required PPI is contingent on the distance of the screen, and your eyes. The way we interface with our phones makes us naturally hold it closer than tablets. This means that 260 PPI is sufficient for a retina display by Apple's standards.
