Education and knowledge is very highly appreciated in Poland, I hope the christian faith decrease in the future. The large number of exorcist in Poland must be the christians fear of the rise of death metal bands from Poland, and the popularity it has in Poland.

The thing about Poland and religion is that the Roman Catholic Church allegedly was helping with Polish fight for freedom and independence - both before the First World War and during communism. Polish people ignore the facts that RCC was actually mostly against independence movements 17-19th century and actually made the deal with communists after the Second World War. Polish denial in that matter is staggering.

We were talking about Polish clergy, and then moved into an equally crazy story about a guy who's talking all Noah's Ark and has non-trivial power in the US Legislature.

Yeah, that's true. Poland was like >95% Catholic in the beginning of the 90's - although church counted that by the number of baptisms. Now it's like 85% or something and actual church attendance is 40-60%. With all the shit church is doing in Poland they're on the right way to becoming secular country.
