  • amazing song !

  • 1 of the best songs EVER. Long live the 80s.

  • Such a talented woman and a lovely song....

  • BEAUTIFUL really beautiful! i was so lucky to have seen this show, review it and meet hazel after too awesome!

  • classic

  • Very natural woman, not a painted barbie doll, like so many girls of today.

  • Hazel O'Connor is a legend, from my youth. I'll never forget `Eighth Day'

  • Reminds me of an evening July 3rd this year. Could not have described the evening any better if i would have written the song myself

  • one of my all time favourites - laden with emotion. Why can't X factor cover classics like this?

  • @MsHera66 Because the rubbish that appear on X Factor don't have the talent to do stuff like this

  • I dont know if its just acting but boy there seems a lot of emotion in there.

  • Shows what a good songwriter she is, just her and a harp...

  • I just love this song

  • I just love this song

  • My Mam died of Alzhiemers at the young age of 61.. I love her so much. she was in her bed in her room, this song was on the radio and she passed on.. Jesus I miss her and I listen to this song so many times just to make me rem her.

  • I loved this song when it first came out but I have to say that I love this version even more.

  • Now this is real singing and talent - almost no backing, just her + some feeling. I'd like to see modern stars brave enough to just go out there and sing !

  • love ya hazel, quality stands the test of time

  • Ich liebe den Film, die Songs und Hazel- danke :-))***

  • wonderful singer, amazing song

  • goosebumps! thank you for sharing this

  • Great, but going the same way as Mairriane Faithfull. Shame

  • @motney555 What? full of Mars Bars? - cunt!

  • oh my god my eyes are dripping as I hear my favourite singer release this track so live. hazel is fantastic and always will be my best love I grew up with her amazing music thank you and thank you Hazel. rob x

  • exellent! but miss the sax :(

  • Better now than it was 30 years ago :)

  • excellent .raw.and just brilliant....!!

  • she's still pretty too

  • not as good without Wesley on sax though eh! Hazel

  • Sung with feeling as ever. Sung beautifully.

  • She still sounds exactly the same, her voice has managed to retain that excellent rare quality throughout the years....... Goosebumps when i heard this.

  • Love this song. Thanks

  • Still has me welling up.

  • So many great singers have lost the vocal range and power, which is so sad to see, but the strength and emotion come through on this.

Close my eyes, and I can still hear this as if it was from the LP.

  • I'm a crying man, if i listen everytime.

  • @kenoxkenox

    You too, huh?

  • @kenoxkenox

right there with you. seen this show twice!

  • one of my favourites

  • she still got it going on !!

  • After all these years this song still sends shivers down my spine. Oh my. God bless you Hazel. ♥

  • Enjoyable version, but boy does it miss that saxophone!!!

  • Soooo good, I can't comment.

  • Brava! Brava! Flooded with feelings of nostalgia.

  • @MOONST0MP What, you're deaf, are you?

  • @MOONST0MP I'm not going to have an arguement over the internet about this, read back what you posted, you are a nasty cunt..

  • nope, you are a sad sack, for sure. I saw here in Slane recently in a small venue, maybe 100 folks or so, and she absolutely blew the crew away. She totally nailed it. thirty years after she was on stage at Slane Castle, her voice is better now than it ever was.

  • @Mrbengjii Hazel O is still a legend. She is terrific.

  • @MOONST0MP i still wouldnt say no

  • @MOONST0MP You are a nasty cunt

  • im 33 and i love this...

    thanks

  • Hi Hazel.. you still sound (and look) as good as when I worshiped you years ago.. keep it up girl!

  • You've stood the test of time longer than Tuppaware! Saw the film in Shepperds Bush Odion, then 20-x? years later saw you live in Singleton Park Swansea and, having covered this 100s of times with other bands, was bouncing to join you on stage! I'm not Wesley, but I'd have given it a good go... Next world tour, maybe. Good for you, Ms O'Connor.

  • they dont make em like this anymore....

  • CLASS CLASS CLASS CLASSS.... Go GIRL

  • wonderfull thank you hazel so hounting still sends shivvers up my spine

  • BEAUTIFUL. REALLY

  • a REAL singer - wow!

  • I like this version, but I do miss the saxophone.

  • Yes, I agree, the sax added a significant amount of soul to the song.

  • Wonderful!

  • Totally Awesome!

  • A most haunting song indeed. This is one of those rare songs to come from this era that can still bring a lump to your throat when ever it is heard.
