You're correct, the bubbles are from not enough rubber on your tire and while he was doing those hard burnouts the thin rubber got very hot and molded easily (air pushed it out)

get a 600 or 750 put on frame sliders so when you lay down your bike you wont ruin your plastics, go to a vacant open parking lot and have fun, let sum air out of your rear tire if your tring to do wheelie circles and stuff helps with balance just dont speed, thats where they get you.
