Nielson scared the fuck out of me in this. When I saw him on screen I laughed out loud and when he started in his character I was curled up in a ball on the couch sweating. ._. It was like watching Insomnia with Robin Williams I was like .__.
@NodDisciple1 Yes and it's probably not a coincidence. King's a Lovecraft devotee and he's said on numerous occasions that "Colour" is his favorite of old H.P.'s stories.
thank you for not saying anything about the crate. I've watched the first three stories of the movie and have been looking forward to the crate over everything else.
Weird, I was watching your top ten episodes of tales from the crypt and thought this would be a great movie for you to review. I didn't remember you already reviewed it on Monster Madness.
i still have some Vault of Horror and Tales from the Crypt EC comics....those were the best,Monkeys Paw (you brought me back but ive already been EMBALMED!)
Silver strands among the Mold..dude encases hes cheating girlfreind in a silver statute!..the one of the missinary whos wife returns as a zombie for him to love but rots..the arrogant son who is paid for his weight and eats lead shot to increase it only to suffer a horriable high speed accident...great great comics man.
Leslie Neilsen actually had a long history of playing bad guys before he did Airplane I'll never forget the slimeball he played in an episode of Vegas that's fucked up killing a blind woman.
I fucking love this film. My sister and I were astonished with this and the sequel back when we were little kids. Arguably my favorite film from my viewings in the early-mid 90s.
Please check out the Trailer for "Weekend at the Cabin" and Purchase your own copy or rent it today. Help support your Indie Artist. Tell a friend. Have a great day.
i actually like the Cockroach one the best, i don't know why i just thought it was cool, the monster in a crate one was probably my least favorite, but it was still good, the Leslie Nielson one was my second favorite, 3rd was the old man that came back, 4th was the one with Stephen King
I remember this! Not the movie but the comics. I remember reading a comic with all five of those stories in them. It was creepy and disgusting and by Steven King's beard did I love it! Too bad I have no idea where that issue had went. It was probably sold in a yard sale without me knowing.
Has anyone ever seen Trick 'r Treat? It came out like 4 or 5 years ago I think But it is a kind of twist on this type of movie, with several individual stories which loosely connect forming a type of anthology. Its awesome!!! Check it out.
The little boy in the beginning of the film is played by Joe Hill (Joseph Hillstrom King), aka Stephen King's son, who is currently writing his own horror novels, and the widely popular graphic novel series "Locke and Key".
It's weird that Joe Hill, Stephen King's son, is the little boy in the beginning and ending scenes with that Dad who was like "No you ain't gonna read these stories no more." just an interesting fact.
you know I never did see the 3rd creepshow. good thing I skipped that one. just more proof sequels almost never live up to the originals expectations.
Creepshow is fucking awesome that part with cockroaches is so fucking ugly that even James doesent want to talk about it and I have been following horror movies many years and I agree with James fucking ugly
The part with stephen king sounds like 'the colour out of space' in a way. Which doesn't suprise me since H.P. lovecraft was the man who inspired king to become a writer in the first place.
I watched creep show and all I have to say is that it was a crap load of fun. "The Crate" actually scared me a good bit.
