The similar chorus could just be a coincidence. Songs don't always have to be ripping off others just because you notice some similarities. It's better to just think "hey that sounds like this.." rather than complaining it rips it off.

Noticing similarities is a good thing, imo. :) I mean, what if the original song was crap and you noticed something similar in a GOOD song? ;) haha
