This should've been a smash hit. Unfortunately by '77 the FM controlled payola scene had changed and Disco was coming on strong. I heard this when it came out on 8 track (state of the art fidelity). Cruising around in my older brother's Ford F250 Four Wheel Drive with Gumbo Monster Mudder Tires...you had to be there to understand.

LMAO...Burton Cummings never was a member of Bachman Turner Overdrive you fool. He was the lead singer for The Guess Who [and perhaps the best rock vocalist ever]. This is Randy Bachman's band, and he was the vocalist for B.T.O when the album "Freeways" was released.

Down Down has been my favorite B.T.O song since the first time I heard it. I'm amazed it never had any commercial success. It's a kick-ass tune!
