I wouldn't recommend letting the wheeler drag on the grab bar only because it'll wear down fast. That's what the back brake is for. What do you mean by cheap? There aren't any cheap mods for wheelers. The way I look at it, you get what you pay for. Especially for wheeler mods and dirtbike mods. If your going to do some mods, pay a little more. In the long run, it'll be worth the money. 400EXs are good for beginners. It depends on how much machine you want to and what you want it for

the stock grab bar is fine on a 400ex if you need it to catch you from flipping backwards..I woulndt reccommend dragging it. A because you eventually drag through it and will need to buy a subframe or weld a piece in. B because the rounded egdes of the stock bar seem to grab on side more than the other, which sends the bike sideways and flips it over. ask me why I know either LOL

if ur just a beginner i wouldnt recommend getting any mods or anything or worrying about wheelies lol... i have a 400ex and they are the most amazing wheeler ever and i think the only hard part that ur gunna have trouble with learning is learning to work a clutch

a 400ex is a pretty good one for begginers and a regular grab bar is fine unless you pipe goes out farther then you may need a different one and just look for different stuff like jet kits,pipes.nerfbars and hot cams but never bore it out cause it will ruined the engine
