Well for snowed in movies here are a few I like.Eye See You with Slyvester Stallone.Underrated film that he did that no one saw.It was almost kind of like a horror film in a way.John Carpenter's The Thing was another good one.Trapped In Paradise with Nicolas Cage,Dana Carvey,& Jon Lovitz.Always liked that. It's A Wonderful Life is another great one to watch snowed in.What about the original Black Christmas?Gremlins?Fargo?I could go on and on here.I really love Gremlins.
Give me what i want and i'll go away.....XD I thought i was the only one that loved Storm of the Century. Anyway here in Louisiana we don't really get Snow Ins but we do get rain in-ins so here's my 3 fav movies i like to watch to kill some rainy time! :) Empire Records- It's one of those movies i can watch a million times and never get tired of it.
yes, but it was suspended. I think because i chose to add other stuff too :( movie clips, animals, etc. now i have another channel for just animals, and such :) My 1st passion:) (You say Freakin' really funny ! )
It will be out in 2010, most likely around october.
The plot is;
After surviving the incidents in Barrow, Alaska, Stella Olemaun relocates to Los Angeles, where she intentionally attracts the attention of the local vampire population in order to avenge the death of her husband, Eben.
Jay, I gave you a 5 star Handsome because you have my Hat on ha ha. BTW, You look Great as usual. I'm NOT Snowed in here in California, but I absolutely Love "It's a Wonderful Life." Much Love! ~Andree'
cool idea for a vid man! stay warm. I wish I could relate but we are just getting lots of rain right now in my area. I hope everything is going well for you and you have a very Merry Chirstmas/Happy Holidays! Great vid!
1. Groundhog Day, 2. The Thing, 3. Die Hard... (couldn't choose between "die hard" & "gremlins", if you don't know what gremlins are you need to find out)
Great picks, I love Storm of the Century it is a perfect snowed in pick! 30 Days of Night has such a great setting, especially like the sunrise scene at the end... great stuff. I haven't seen It's A Wonderful Life in a while nice pick also!(I like that edition you have) Anyway this was a sweet vid Jay! Have a Merry X-Mas!
Long time no talk! Ive missed ya! I just assumed you were busy with school and finals cause I totally expected to see a Roll Tide and Ingram Heismann video from you.
Pinocchio and Aladdin were my favorite disney films. Disney rocks though!
We got nearly 2 feet of snow! :0 It's nuts cause we havent had much snow in years.
Hahaa yeah I had to rub it on my face, it was ever so soft!
Three great picks my friend...really like 30 days of night a great movie..like that edition of Its a wonderful life never seen that before...Have a good christmas and keep up wuth the updates..
Great video. "30 days of Night" is such a great movie, I've read the graphic novel and Eben does kill the main vampire in that too. You should check the graphic novel out, the artwork is INCREDIBLE. Ben Templesmith is a legend!
I've been good, i've added you on FaceBook and i should really talk with you on there because not spoken to you for ages. I want to start up my channel again but it's just getting motivated to do so. How are you Jay?
Yeah Eben just turns to dust just like in the film. I still need to read the rest of them, theres like 7 graphic novels.
I couldn't pick a better set of three movies myself. Storm of the Centruy is probably my favorite Stephen King movie (with Thinner a close second.) I heard buzz about a sequel to 30 nights and I believe Fearnet had a mini series.
I have been great. dicking around with new editing software and making cards and stuff. I thought of another GREAT snowed in movie!!!!! ALIVE ! the movie about the teams plane that crashes in the mountains. SOOO GOOD. Have a merry Christmas man!
30days and 30nights at first viewing i didnt like it i was dozing off the second viewing i liked it somtimes its like music you dont like it the first time but the nexts is whole lot better
I have 30days of Night and not a big fan of the film, but I love the Alaska, snow white setting against the blood!
Kings Dreamcatcher would be a good snowed in flick. I like that one. Cartoons are always good for snowy days so I pick FLAPJACK! and probably "Imagine Me and You" since it always makes me feel warm & happy and kinda hopeful.
Thanks Lori, you rock! Haha yeah it was so freaking soft I loved it :p. I love Alaska as well, and yes the red is so much brighter and striking against the cold white snow. More films, especially horror genre should be filmed/set there.
Ah good call on Dreamcatcher, that would be another good one, I loved that as well although it took a different turn that I wasnt initially expecting.
I understand your perspective with Imagine Me and You, but it always kinda bothered me in any movie where one character leaves their husband/wife for someone they just met, to me it always seemed more like infatuation and after a while they realize it was a mistake leaving someone they've been with and have a family with...but that's just my opinion ha.
30days and 30night i like ehe end when the sun rise and the two turn to ashes with its a wondeful life i like the color version i have both my three are 1 mr magoo christmass story 2 the jim careys the grinch 3 elf
I personally didn't hate 30 Days Of Night, but I was super disappointed in it. It just really bored me and seemed like nothing was going on. Plus I thought the ending was super predictable and a really lame cop out. You are right though, it's not always needed for there to be a happy ending, but to kill the main protagonist for absolutely no reason is no way to end a film imo. But we all see things differently. Cool vid.
See that is part of the reason I liked it that the main character died at the end, I mean come on everyone expected him to live and when he didn't it showed that they weren't going to be restricted by the so called guidelines and what is socially acceptable. I didn't think the ending was predictable or a cop out, in fact I thought the opposite as far as Hartnett dying.
However, yes we all have our own opinions, which is what makes everything so great!
However him killing the main vampire and saving the day was predictable but it was an interesting/unique way of doing it injecting himself with the blood and turning himself.
Yeah a couple people below mentioned it and I googled it, it's called Dark Days and it is supposed to be released straight to dvd, which is unfortunate but ah well Im hoping it will be decent.
How have you been Andre? Feel like I haven't talked to you in a bit.
I used an older mac a while back and didn't care for it. Im not sure how different it is from a newer mac, but Im so used to pc that Im more comfortable using pc. I have heard good things about imovie though.
New macs are entirely different, the new iMac 27" is awesome, I have one hehehehe, but yeah if your into windows, cool, I like your choice in software!
I love 30 Days of Night. That is an awesome vampire movie. They are actually making a sequel, but the lead actress is replaced. I dont think she wanted to do the movie though for some reason. I am excited though for it.
I believe they are scripting a sequel right now (to "30 Days Of Night"). AND- as a spoiler, it's possible that the "stranger" isn't dead. That they changed him but we just didn't see the whole thing. That's what I heard though.... (who knows these days LOL)....
Yeah, another person below told me about the sequel so I googled it. It's supposedly going straight to dvd which is a shame but I will definitely check it out when it is released.
Ah NYC is not far at all, like 45 mins. Yeah I almost busted my butt outside earlier, there was ice under all the snow!
The Descent is AMAZING! I LOVE that movie, I havent seen the sequel but I will. I think it didn't need a remake though, but hopefully it will be decent.
Rosemary's Baby is a classic! I love it as well, great choices!
Yeah I rewatched that scene when Josh killed the lead vampire and it was so hard to tell.
LOL, I had a OSB for a while also. I only had maybe 50 subs at the time. So I just clicked on each person's channel until I figured out who it was (he/she had a channel that encouraged fatness - it was creepy and twisted). I unsubscribed him/her, and after that no more OSB.
What I don't understand is why someone would subscribe to someone and just one star their videos, if they don't like their content or videos, why bother being subscribed at all?
Yeah, Ive had people subscribe to me as well, I think they are called feeders or foodies maybe? After I posted my weight gain over the lapse of years video I had a bunch of those people add or subscribe.
I've been well. Especially bc I have 4 wheel drive, so I wasn't one of the 20492 people I saw getting pushed out of the snow. :-) Downtown new bruns was always pretty when it snowed. I remember xmas shopping at Brunswick Square Mall. Oh the college days..
I still haven't seen Storm of the Century x.x I have Rose Red though! Not quite the same thing but hey. It's a Wonderful Life was amazing!!! Never saw all of it though...the Beavis & Butt-head redition was classic though ;)
I am not currently snowed in but today I got 3 DVDs from netflix and thought I'd share them.
Adventureland with Ryan Reynolds, Spanish Fly and The Honeymooners, which is about a guy who was jilted at the alter and takes a stranger on his honeymoon.
My personal choices for snowed in movies would be Rent, either the movie or live version, Stealing Beauty and The Covenant
I know what that's like. One time a few years ago I had just got to school and it happened. I was walking up to the school kind of fast because I was running late. I walked on this patch of black ice on the sidewalk and I slipped and fell right infront of everyone. I had to go back home and change my clothes because they got so wet because of it.
Ouch, sorry to hear about that. Sounds embarassing but hey it happens, you can look back and laugh at it now.
I had a similar story a couple years back I was hanging out with these 2 girls I was friends with watching movies, and as I was leaving and saying by to them I walked outside their door and slipped on ice and busted my butt hard on the steps right in front of them.
I watched Christmas Vacation last night. I really enjoy Identity, I don't hear a lot of people talk about it though, very well done and eerie in my opinion.
Alan WU ! How are you? Yeah it's nuts, I know they called for a lot of snow but I didnt think it would actually happen because it usually doesnt and we didnt have anything until 2:30 then by 4 it was coming down heavy! It's nuts, a foot of snow already and they said we are supposed to get 6 more inches! Sheesh!
I LOVE It's A Wonderful Life!
So you watching any movies tonight?
Rutgers is whooping up in The St Petersburg Bowl Presented by "Beef O' Brady's" haha, what a crap bowl!
Good man, good. Watching "Wanted" at the moment. In the mood for some cool effect. Just finished Gi Joe on Blu Ray too. Probably the coolest effects I've seen in a while. Hopw you're doing well man!

Hmm is it low budget? I would think with the success of the first one they would release it in theatres.

well for somthing really warm Id go with a good whisky,,,Makers Mark, Knob Creek, or Pendelton,,,,
then on to a good micro brew, cause I live within the most breweries in the world,,portland ,,,, id go with Brrrr,, or sierra nevada,,,
but for an all day drink Id good light with bud light, or Henery Weinhardts Pale Ale.,,,

@TheDVDGamer
I have to say, again great choices!
I watched Christmas Vacation last night. I really enjoy Identity, I don't hear a lot of people talk about it though, very well done and eerie in my opinion.

It's nuts, a foot of snow already and they said we are supposed to get 6 more inches! Sheesh!
I LOVE It's A Wonderful Life!
