When I visiting my friends in Texas this was one of their ideas for fun. I think in about 4 1/2 hours we made the top. I brag about being in shape. This almost kicked my butt. To be honest I would climb it again. Take care and enjoy life and the beauty of nature.
I made it about 3/4 of the way up and the wind really started kicking up and I was on
one of those ledges as shown in about 4:20, so I decided the wise thing to do was turn around instead of get blown off the mountain....wish I would have made it all the way
And another thing......use that hiking pole properly. You're tapping it on the trail like a blind person. Dig it into the trail and put some of your weight on it. Let it help you.

When I first saw that lady hiker, I thought no way can she make it to the Top of TX.
Needs to get out of the library more and get in shape.
