  • lol typical cheeky parrot teasing the dog😊

My cockatiel was a terrible tease with my Pomeranian, lost 4 big tail feathers once when he pushed his luck too far. He was ok though they grew back.

  • What's the song in the background? And very cute bird!

  • @moniechuable

Thanks! I never even realized there was a song till you said something. I have no idea! Must have been the tv.

  • I just pictured my parrot and dog attempting that LoL - this is very good video :)

  • This is so sweet!! Such a gentle doggie - evidently the parrot gets to be in charge. BIG GRIN!

  • what type of parrot is that

  • @Guyovichftw He is a blue crowned conure.

  • Feeding? Thats teasing :D!

  • Please be careful! Saliva from cats, dogs, and humans in toxic to parrots.

    Still cute!

  • What breed of dog is that?

We adopted a dog from a shelter last autumn and she looks exactly like that!

We were thinking she was some kind of Border Collie mix, or maybe Australian Shepherd (I've seen pictures of solid black aussies).

  • @fgaudet72 When we adopted Brando from the shelter he was about 10 weeks old. They told us he was a newfoundland! He really looked like one at first but only grew to 50lbs. He is def some sort of border collie mix & possibly some newfie in there. Flat coated retrievers also look like this too. Thank you for saving from the shelter!!

  • @1isaacmusic

Soo funny you said that cause they were at it again today and the bird was really trying to get him to preen him. He was turning all around and getting right in Brando's face as he was licking. I know everyone says the saliva is dangerous and I have read a ton on it. It is more dangerous if it enters the bloodstream. Cat saliva is alot worse then a dog's to a bird. Like I said before they have been doing this forever and the bird is fine.

  • I think he's trying to trick the dog into preening him, otherwise he'd drop it or give it to the dog.

  • What a great video!

  • Mammal saliva is poisonous to birds.

  • No the bird bites the dog's head. I posted this a couple years ago and they are still doing it. All my dogs gather round when the bird has something good and wait to get fed.

  • I hope that dog doesn't all of the sudden bite the birds head off! I love birds!!!

  • I hope that dog doesn't all of the sudden bite the birds head off!

  • Can you imagine if the parrot realizes turkey is a bird?

  • This is an accident waiting to happen

  • >< thats scary yet .... nope nope just scary

  • Too cute! Thanks Jutta(wildlifeguardian) for the share!

    Linda & Geronimo

  • Hilarious! Our Umbrella Cockatoo likes to dangle her food close to the dogs, too -- just out of their reach! I guess they really do this on purpose to tease the poor canines...lol...

  • AWESOME :D

  • your parrot is a troll

  • do u know what happened to my pet turkey :(

  • Dogs are intelligent enough to realize a good thing when they see it. The bird on the other hand.... I've had birds all my life, and I still don't understand their motivations at times.

  • wow...

  • aww that's so cute that they're friends!

  • They have been doing this for 3 years now. My dog is soo gentle with him and the parrot loves it!

  • as long as the dog doesn't accidentally snap at the bird, its adorable

  • so cute!!!!

  • I'd love to see a parrot tell a dog to sit x)

  • oh my gosh that is so cute! Your parrot is not even scared of the dog! My cockatiel is not a big fan of our dogs lol!

  • Hi, I know that dog or cat saliva is very dangerous if it gets in the birds bloodstream but I'm not sure about licking. Have to do some research on this. I actually have 6 dogs and they all get along great with the bird. He's been licked soo much over the years, think he's immune to it! He's always dangling food in there faces. Thanks for the comment!

  • Sorry but that's bullshit talking about saliva. Just forget the whole saliva or whatever.

  • i really love how the bird doesnt afraid of dogs

most birds are afraid and you can see it by touching the bird, its hear beats too quickly!

but they need some feeding lessons :P

the dog cant catch the food and the bird dont know how to give it x)

  • @ddesip dog saliva is one of the cleanest things you can think of, cat's though have nasty bacteria in their saliva.

  • Be careful, dog saliva is very dangerous to birds! (all that licking the turkey and your conure shifting it in his beak was making me nervous x3; )

But still, very cute! ^-^ Love how the bird notices the dog wants it, then goes closer to tease him even more. xD Gotta say, I'm getting a conure soon and am worried about how my dog will react... so thanks for posting, this makes me a little more hopeful. 8D

  • So cute and funny. I'm glad the dog didn't bite the parrot!

  • the parrot wont give it up..lol
