  • Time's a bitch isnt it? My computer blows that away and i only dropped a g

  • @deadsearolls Time sure is a bitch. I could spend a grand in 2-3 weeks and destroy whatever you've built - we could do this over and over.

  • i have the same cpu in my pc. exept it has this tiny fan on it. I hope it doesnt explode :S

  • .....nice monitor

  • by the way how much did it cost all in m8

  • thanks for the vid m8.i will start billding my hi spec soon to.ps wat i best gams controller for pc gameing in ur apinyon thanks

  • @tehutuber This video is very old now, but at the time of build it was around £1300. You could re-make this build for around £700-800 today I would have thought. I'm now rocking a 6-core at 4.0GHz

  • que bellesa de compu tienes amigo

  • why AMD And not Intel Core?

  • @blekkuza AMD are better value for money and I was on a budget for this rig.

  • dude is that 2 grahics cards? now i want more than one lol, can i? my computer specs are on one of my videos i think its the counter strike one in the description, iom presuming u know alot more than me about computers as i got mine like 3 months ago, its my first real good pc, thanks ;l

  • @thecrazyhenchman Your motherboard doesn't allow more than one graphics card, and I also believe you can't SLI the GT240 but might be wrong about that.

  • @acer0169 what motherboard would u recomend? is mine rubbish?

  • what gadget is that on your windows screen

  • @pyromaniac171 It's not a gadget, it's Aida64

  • big case but ugly btw good videos dude

  • Must say that beast is very sexual. nice build

  • @DeDafer1 I'm glad people are still enjoying the build. This is a very out dated video no though, as I'm currently running the same rig but with a new motherboard and an AMD 6-core at 4.0GHz. I'll make a video soon.

  • soo , can it plays 50+ games ? :D

  • Does that sound card allows you to have connected headphones and 2 speakers at same time?

  • @totetoBT I've never tried more than just the single output port. The only time I've had headphones and speakers in at the same time I used the sound card for speakers and just plugged my headphones in the front (onboard) sound port. Sorry.

  • @acer0169 can you try it now, it would be very helpful.

thanks, and is the card worth buying?

  • @totetoBT I can't try right now, but yes this card is worth buying. Now-a-days though, you can get this card for the same price as an X-Fi if you look around - which is a much better card. I originally bought this card some 4 or so years ago :O

  • Noice!

  • You uhh. Didn't use round off checking in P95.

    Just sayin'

  • @jpkoski I didn't film all tests I did, but I did use round off checking after this along with several game benchmarks and 3DMark.

  • Do you use thermal gel? If so do you think ( or know) if it helps dramatically?

  • @munkycheeeeeez I use thermal grease yes. It doesn't just help - it's pretty much essential. Unless your cooler is lapped, using a computer without thermal grease could easily burn out a CPU in a couple of hours.

  • very nice build. how does the audigy compare to onboard audio?

  • @ZackMcLeish13 Watch the updated videos - case has been modded and I'm using a much nicer motherboard. The audigy is top-notch. VERY good with headphones and makes games background sound (wind etc) much nicer and "deeper". Onboard audio on this board couldn't handle some games (sounds louder than they should be or not at all) where as this card never misses a beat. Strongly suggested if you want a little more than onboard :].

  • how much did this all cost you

  • @TLeteger This is my oldest video.. at this stage it cost around £1000. Now up to around £1100-1200.

  • only gays have tidy bedrooms

  • @JOCKATEO lol, fail troll??

  • nice rig my new build is going to be

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

    2x XFX ATI Radeon HD5870

    Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB HD103SJ

    G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM (2x2GB) DDR3

    Corsair HX-750 Power Supply

and its all going in an NZXT Lexa S Mid Tower Case

  • @shuffle953 Don't get the SpinPoint HDD for your gaming machine! Over the last 2 years I've used 5 of them, each one eventually failing due to it not being able to cope with heavy use. I STRONGLY suggest getting a 640GB / 1TB caviar black HDD from western digital. They might be a little more costly, but won't give you shit like the Samsung.

  • @acer0169 hey thanks mate i will get the black HDD's by western digital but i was thinking if i can milk out another 700 out of my mum i was going to get a 120GB SSD (for OS) and then the black HDD by western digital 1TB for games and music and applications etc :D

  • @shuffle953 If you can, get the SSD, but I'm using a Black HDD from WD and it's still pretty fast. Nothing like the SSD speeds, but for the money you can't really go wrong.

  • @acer0169 apparently the black HDD is almost as fast as an SSD because of its access times???

  • @shuffle953 Nahh it's no where near as fast as a SSD. SSD have like 250-300MB/s write speed and normal SATA2 drives have something like between 45-65MB/s. Although when buying drives they say "300MB/s transfer" etc.. they're never actually that for whatever reason.

SSD will completely destroy a normal SATA drive.

SATA3 is very good though, so maybe have a look at SATA3 motherboards / hard drives? I haven't seen much about them myself, but they have twice the bandwidth of sata2.

  • @acer0169 huh cool thanks again but i only have a budget of $2000 AUD so thats why i got normal hardrives if i had three grand i would by 1 120GB SSD and another XFX ATI HD5870 in 3 way crossfireX :D

  • @acer0169 Really suprised to hear you say that, I've been using F3 spinpoints in high spec rigs for nearly a year as the Read/write performance is very good especially striping over a RAID 0 using 128kb cluster size. The only problems I had is when using F1 spinpoints. Used Cavier blacks twice and must say that they're pretty decent and somewhat quiter then spinpoints.

    Anyway nice Rig dude!

  • @TheTrafficker85 Spinpoints are good but I've had bad luck with them. I bought 5, all died without 60 days of heavy use. The Cavier Blacks from WD have been working overtime with a whole list of intense work such as gaming, rendering and encrypting and never skipped a beat. I use one black for boot, and my two external 500GBs are blues :].

  • we have the same Motherboard, but i still have 2 8800gtx on it, very nice built and clean... nice vid..

  • @necky69 Please tell me you're talking about my new ASUS board and not this XFX crap?

  • cool build

my build is gonna be antec 900

    asus rampage 3 gene

    core i7 930

    6gb gskill memory

    2 x evga geforce gtx 460 sli

2 1tb western digital vaciar black in raid 0

i got some videos on my new build

  • @theomega831 Don't get a crappy Antec 900 for a build like that, get a Lian Li or something that properly shows off a power build!

  • Are you OK with your sound card Audigy SE 7.1 under Windows 7? Is it powerful enough? Do you have any problem with your drivers? I found it in a very good price and i'm thinking to buy it in order to upgrade my sound experience from the onboard sound card! So, is it good? ThanX in advance!

  • @chriko1992 It's still an amazing card and sounds a lot better than my onboard (which is a good onboard at that - 8 channel HD). Drivers worked without flaw under Win7. If you can get it at a good price I'd say get it, but if the price is similar to the newer X-FI cards.. I'd suggest getting one of them instead. Either way.. I wont be upgrading for some time, this card is awesome :]

  • Had that board. One of the MOSFETs set fire after 2 days of use. xD

  • @Chandlermaki the XFX motherboard is maybe the worst motherboard ever made.. ever. I've been so happy with my new ASUS motherboard! With the XFX board I'd get BSOD for no reason and I couldn't think why a brand new motherboard could do that.. turns out they just don't know how to make anything but GPU's and PSU's ;)

  • @acer0169 Yeah, I ended up replacing the board with a Gigabyte model. No issues as of yet.

  • @Chandlermaki Feel free to take a look at my further videos.. I'm not running cool and stable on a tri-sli board which I'm soon to fill up with a third GTX and a X6 :]

  • Hey...how much money in Canada is £1300?Cause im about to make 1 and im not sure how much it costs -_-

just post me an answer plz!!

  • @shiveringstar21 £1300 is $2094 canadian. This complete setup can now be build for around £1000 which is about $1600 canadian. If you need any help with building your machine, feel free to email questions@stormcomponents[dot]com and I'll help you anyway I can.

  • @acer0169 TY!!! now i can play left 4 dead 2 O-o

  • wtf ?!? pendulum ?!

  • @batezippi Pendulum didn't create the sample of the guy talking. This is one of maybe 6 songs I have, all by different artists, that use that sample.

  • Did you use thermal grease? omg

  • @792240208 what do you think? ¬_¬. of course I did..

  • @acer0169 But it seems like you didn't. ^^

  • Can you upgrade the graphics card on an old ECS K8M800-M2 MoBo? If so what card would you recommend that is not expensive but still quite good?

  • @gertz1247 Your motherboard only supports AGP x8 so upgrading your GPU would be a waste of money. Buy a new motherboard and CPU, then get a new GPU. The best graphics cards that will fit your motherboard are pretty expencive and not worth the money.

  • @acer0169 Ok thanks a lot that's pretty helpful to me.

  • EDIT*

I spent almost all my money $3000 making this computer T_T

  • Run Crysis on max? Pioneer BDR-205 Blu Ray Burner

    Intel Core i7 860 Processor BX80605I7860 - 2.80GHz, LGA 1156, 8MB L3 Cache, Quad-Core

    Western Digital WD2002FYPS RE4-GP Hard Drive - 2TB, 64MB, Intellipower, SATA-3G

    Corsair XMS3 CMX6GX3M3A1333C9 Tri Channel 6GB PC10666 DDR3 Memory - 1333MHz, 6144MB

Ultra X4 850-Watt Modular Power Supply - 135mm Fan, ATX

    ASUS P7P55D-E Motherboard

Diamond Radeon HD 5970 Video Card 2GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 CrossFireX Ready Dual DVI Display Port HDMI

  • @BriSTEAMZ It'll run Crysis on highest and even 'ultra' settings where you create an autoexec.cfg file and force the game to run at even higher settings.

You'll be able to overclock your CPU to at least 3.5, and with some good cooling you can hit the 4GHz mark. Great RAM, awesome GPU.. yeah it'll do just fine.

Be sure to make a video when it's being built or is finished and running!

  • @acer0169 Okay I will make a youtube video about me building the computer, I'll message you when I get the parts.

  • how much did it cost O.o

    i want one too

  • @linkspecialproximity It cost around £1000 (RRP Price) to build the tower, £1300 for my whole setup. As I buy a lot of items at trade though, I can build computers cheaper than many others who have to buy at RRP or 'shop' prices. You could probably knock a hundred or two off that price now though as this is going back a few months.

If you're in the UK.. I build custom computers for clients so if you're interested hit me up ;).

  • @acer0169 unfortunatly...i dont live in the UK im in europe.

But ill have a look at your site, can you give me the site adress?

  • @linkspecialproximity Building computers isn't my business, I'm a web designer by trade. I'll have a mini-site for building computers up sometime this summer hopefully.

  • see my gaming rig i will send you attach of my video

  • .... how did u get so low fps with 2 gtx 260s???? im running phenom ii x4 965 be 3.8ghz. 6gb ddr3.corsair h50 liquid cooling. 1200w psu. full 1080p 2ms monitor(23") 1tb hdd.ati radeon hd 5770. on high 1080 p res with 8x anti aliasing i got an average of 37fps. u witht eh better gpu how did u get lower fps????

  • @bowei437 I honestly think it's my motherboard causing such low scores. It's pure garbage. It only has SLI x8x8 and it's voltages are so unstable I can't overclock my CPU hardly at all. Your CPU and DDR3 RAM will give you a boost over my system, but you're right.. my cards should ou perform a single 5770.

Stay tuned for my upcoming video, we'll see the difference when I've installed my new motherboard!!

  • @acer0169 i bet its actually your power supply giving you all the problems as its probably outputting totally random power as its unbranded and i doubt it has a efficiency is above 50%

  • @halthomp I've done the tests. It's outputting constant power and has an 80%+ efficiency.

  • @acer0169 well all i can think of doing is if you go on the windows rating system and find what has the lowest rating nd that'll be ur problem, yes i know its pretty crap at rating thing but it will give a good outline for your problems

  • @halthomp Watch the updated videos. I have no problems with this build and it's stable. You seem pretty uneducated if you think an unbranded PSU or the lowest rated component in a computer will be the cause of all problems.. The lowest rated component is a WD Caviar Black 640GB SATA2 hard drive which is one of the most stable drives I've ever used. This machine is now 100% 24/7 stable with my CPU running at 3.6GHz.

The only problems I've EVER had with this build was a shitty motherboard.

  • ur crysis score is very low i get with 2x superclocked gtx 280's and a E8400@ 4.3ghz 44average 1680x1050 16xaa very high probaly ur cpu bottlenicking cos crysis barely uses 2 cpu's and also cos drivers have improved

  • @Eclipezz My benchmark score has never been great. My CPU is bottlenecking my cards at the moment, but when I get it up for 3.6 it should be better. I play the game on 1680x1050, 8x AA and Ultra high settings and get between 30-50FPS while playing.. yet with much lower settings in the benchmark I get crap results.

  • messy bed room tidy pc

  • Instead of buying your second GTX 260, you should have gotten a higher spec cpu and upgraded to another GPU down the road because you are severely bottle necking your system with a cpu like that even with when overclocked. The Quad Core Phenom II's aren't that much more expensive and are a whole different beast. Still a nice rig though. I have a pretty nasty one myself, I just upgraded to 8Gigs of Ram 2 seconds ago hence the YT search.

  • They are meant to be discontinuing the AMD 720BE because when it's overclocked it performs to the same level as stock quad core Phenoms. I will soon be getting my new motherboard also which will allow me to get my CPU to 3.5GHz at least.

  • Absolutely no i agree with you, the 720BE Triple Core CPU's are no joke, I used to own an AMD Athlon FX-53 which was a $1000 dollar chip when it came out. The system I own now is my first Intel System build ever albeit the fastest one, but that doesn't mean im an Intel Fan Boy, I love AMD as well. I was just saying, if you had gotten a "mid" range Phenom II Quad Core that would have given you Big League Overclocks which would have given your GPU's to really let loose and spread their wings.

  • I'll see how things are when my chip is running at a better clock. I know someone who has the 720BE and he's got it running at 3.8!!! HUGE speeds for this chip.

  • WHY GOD WHY? That is the worst motherboard known to man, no seriously it really is. Look up xfx 750a sli and see what people are saying. Everything else is good though.

  • Read my comments.. I know how bad this board is and it's soon to be upgraded.

  • Too simple ! how about the 3 120m cooling fans everywhere especially from the top ! perhaps some more hdds ! what about amd duh why not not intel cooler more powerfull ! atleast q9650 would do well dont really need to go for core i series ! really ! but core i7 980x 6 core baby hell yeah ! thats for now 2010 atleast til 2011 !

  • @Nachalnika you stoned?

  • second song name pls?and rig is awesome.

  • Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death II, and thank you :]

  • rock civilization!!!!! wooo good song man

    and awsome build!

  • Hey this is awesome but how much did it cost in total to make this???

  • £1000 for the tower, £1300 for my whole setup. British pounds :]

  • @acer0169 holy!!!!! like, how much for each individial, like video crads, cpu, and stuff??? u must berich!!! it would be amazing if you could make gameplay vids:D!!! SUBBED!!!!

  • I bought my Zotac GTX260 216 Core (896MB)'s for £230. Motherboard (as shit as it is) was £100, My RAM came to around £70-80 and the Processor for £80. All the fans and cables that went into the case cost around £100 and the Cosmos S case itself was £130! The rest went on the PSU, DVD Burner, coolers etc. Could have got it all cheaper but I wanted to buy the parts from one place instead of here and there.

  • Well if you can afford it i would go with either the MSI 980a board or the Asus Crosshair III Formula board. Do note that the Asus Crosshair III is a 790FX chipset so running a dual SLI setup is impossible.

  • I plan to get the Asus M4N82 Deluxe 980a as it'll support all my current components but allow me to get my CPU up to 3.5 and a third GTX260 to be added.

  • Nice video mate, but why not turn the cpu heatsink so the fan blows the hot air out of the back of the case and pulls cool air from the front intake? Hope this helps you overclock further! =]

  • The Thor's Hammer heatsink can only be mounted in one direction. I've added another 2 fans to this case in a push pull setup though; blowing air from the front of the case to the CPU. It's dropped temps by about 5C and will help me overclock to around 3.5 (hopefully) when I get my new motherboard.

  • no thermal paste on CPU to heatsink?

  • It's not shown in the video but of course I used thermal paste.

  • Hate you can't edit you're posts, but other than the psu. Seems like a solid AMD build at the time you built it. Any plans to make the leap to an i7?

  • Cheers. Been very happy with this build. At the moment the i7 is just too expensive and would have added like half this tower's cost again to the price. I'm getting the Asus M4N82 Deluxe motherboard for this computer soon, which will allow me to overclock my 720BE up to around 3.4-3.6GHz and I've heard they are actually discontinuing this CPU because it's only under the X4 CPU's power by like 5-10% when it's overclocked (as this is an X3 cpu).

  • So do you even know what brand the PSU is? 12V ratings? Seems kinda dumb with all that and a possibility of a cheap psu.

  • The brand is a chinese brand (cant remember the name without opening the case but it's the same name as what was on my old Arctic's components) I know all the ratings, outputs, regulations etc. It has 80A on the four 12V rails, runs VERY cool and has never missed a beat. My old system with this PSU was stable for over a year, then when I finally upgraded to this system I used the same PSU and it's been stable since the first boot. I'm using about half the cables it came with in this video.

  • I'm well aware of this hence why I have Win7 Ultimate 64-bit.

  • hey i use tha same mother board xfx nforce

  • The XFX 750a motherboard is a piece of garbage. Can't wait to upgrade.

  • wow thats a beast---

what program are you using to stress// and to tell the temp??

    great video -- make more

  • I used Prime95 to stress my CPU, and EVEREST Ultimate to read temps.

Thanks for you're praise, I'm getting my new motherboard soon and will be making a re-build video in HD once I do. I'll also get a few gameplay videos up when I can.

  • 2:11... is that the sound card??, 2:23 another fan??

  • 2:11 is my Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE sound card going in.. and 2:23 shows that I'd added another clear fan to the CPU cooler.

  • ahhh I see..... ever tried the quad SLI motherboard?? :P..

  • I haven't no. I've heard no end of complaints with QUAD SLI though.. flickering and texture issues with many games. Three-way SLI is the most stable at the moment.. and that's my next move; to get a new motherboard so I can have my CPU to 3.5 and to have a third GTX260 added.

  • ahhh I see..... wondering... what is your job ??? cause it's just hell to raise that kind of money to build this monster rig...

  • I own my own web development company :).

  • that's why... XD..... are you into CGI?? or graphics?? ..cause people who build this kind of rigs.. is usually into games or just into editing..

  • At the moment it's website design, development and photo-minupulation kinda' stuff, but although I do use this rig for my work.. it's really a gaming rig built for high intensity graphics (which is why I have more power graphically than I do processor-wise).

  • @acer0169 =) the index thing I got was 5.7 what did you get for graphics on mine i got 5.9 wtf

  • I got 7.3 for my graphics. The overall score is not the average of you're scores, instead it's the lowest score you got for any of your components (as stupid as that is). And as most SATA2 HDDs get a score of 5.9 that's about as high as any computer shows. To get higher than that you either need a SSD or a Raptor etc.

  • Is that a program where you test your system on a game to see the fps?

My pc is about the same to your just 5GB of ram.

  • what?

  • i'm pretty much posting this on every xfx 750a video here, simply because i'm not good with computers, lmao but can anyone tell me how to get the ethernet adapter working? I installed the chipset and lan drivers for this board but nothing happens when I try to get the internet working

  • @unokilo321 I've never had a problem with the ethernet on this board, just installed all the drivers on the supplied driver cd and it worked. The driver is labeled "marvin yokon" and not "lan driver" or something so make sure you installed it.

This board has been nothing but trouble really. It was my first 'high-end' motherboard bought and to be honest it's been crap. Worse quality than my cheap £30 ASUS or MSI boards and this was just under £100! Can't wait to get my new tri-sli ASUS :]

  • hey, thanks for the reply. that was really quick. i'll check the disk again. I don't really like this mobo but i couldn't resell or return it so I might as well try and put it to use with some spare parts I have laying around. thanks again i'll post back if I can get it working. and you are right, my $58 asus mobo from 06' is way better then this mobo only diff is it doesn't have sli on my asus. main reason I bought this xfx, i'm looking at getting the 780A tri sli from asus in a month

  • @unokilo321 This motherboard is only good at one thing.. holding spare parts together ;).

And no worries, hope it helped.

  • nice rig man, that musta cost a few pennies to get all the l33t parts ?

  • cheers, and yeah.. just over 1k for the tower. british pounds.

  • Comment removed

  • if i get 2GB of rams and if i convert RAMs to virtual memory will it help my FPS? :D!

  • First, you can't convert RAM to Virtual Memory, VM is where you use your HDD for memory. Second.. even if you did (somehow) convert your RAM to VM, it wouldn't help your FPS.

  • There is a way to make your RAM into a RAM Disk. Basically everything you run from the ramdisk will run faster than the HDD.

So in short, you can use RAM as a Disk (although is not practical) and it will load stuff faster. But no, I guess it would not increase FPS.

  • yeh i have a radeon x1650 series

    pretty trashy

  • i may have to report you to the eco-police. that Personal Computer doesn't look very ecologically friendly.

  • kk so i have 512 mb im running counter-strike 1.6 at about 30-40 fps(not alot) with lowest quality configs to get more performances

i tried evrything to get more performances but dosent seem to happens

if i get to 2GB of rams will i see a big performance upgrade? id like to be constant 60-80+

    thanks for help

  • RAM will not increase your FPS hardly at all. I upgraded my old machine from 512MB to 3GB and it increased game rates by around 2 FPS. RAM will make a difference to your load times, not render times.

If you want a higher frame rate you need to get a new GPU or CPU (or both). Graphic cards are normally more important to a games performance, but a good CPU is a must if you're playing some of the later games.

  • Id say dual xeon! =D

  • btw i have a question im not dat good with comps

if i wanna speed up my game performances should i buy new video card or just put more RAMs (cause i have like 512 MB of rams :S! )

  • 512MB isn't very good for todays games. 2GB is standard now for home computers.

  • holy fuck

with this comp i bet u can open 20 messengers 40 internet pages 60 youtube videos and still play hmm lets say counter-strike 1.6 at 100 fps

    :P

  • Dude! I just got an Phenom II x3 720BE for my AM2+ board and I oc'd it to 3.3 Ghz on stock cooling and the temp was only 53C.

I don't think that cooler was worth it. DUDE!

  • This cooler is amazing. I can't actually measure my room's temp but it's always boiling in here.. so although the idle temps for everything are a little higher than what most people get, when under load my computer only warms up a few degrees.

If I were to take this computer downstairs it idles at 42C and goes up to around 50C at load.

Also remember this video was shot the same day as the build, so my thermal paste wouldn't be fully set either.

  • Will my thors hammer cooler work on a am3 motherboard? Just double checking since i may do my amd phenom ii x4 965 BE build next August :)

  • The AM3 motherboard (as far as I know) has the same mounting as AM2. Everything is the same apart from the AM3 socket has one or two pins less than AM2 meaning you can't use AM2 (or AM2+) CPUs in a AM3 socket but you can vice versa.

I would expect the Thors Hammer to work fine on a AM3 motherboard.

  • Dude, how did u get a "no branded" psu? I would really like to know since i too am not exactly a fan of the extra increase in price simply because of the brand.

  • I got mine from ebuyer. They often stock un-branded products as "value" or under their own name. The make of mine can be found if you open it up.. but it's not been branded in the UK or anything so it's a chinese name.

I've opened a few branded PSU's now and they have the same quality components as the non-branded.. the only reason I can see for the price difference is that normally a branded item goes through better quality control and has a better guarantee than the cheaper options.

  • What is the first song calleed?!

  • Rock Civilization by Headhunterz :]

  • the rig is very powerful but you chose the wrong cpu you should of purchased a core2 quad

  • The XFX 750a motherboard can only take CPUs of 95W or below. I'll be getting a new CPU once I have my new board. :)

  • what is the program you use to read temperatures??

  • I use EVEREST Ultimate. It's 24GBP (40USD) to buy and very worth it. The temp box isn't the main program, but can be completely customised and 'shown on top' so you can work under it. The main part of the program wasn't shown in the video but it's like a mix of aida32, gpu-z and cpu-z etc all in one! Gives you a silly amount of information about your computer.

  • but you need a motherbord that can have a amd processer and support sli ^^ like youers

  • Yeah you do. For the love of god though don't get my motherboard, it's just garbage. It's killed one of my drives already because it's so unstable, constant crashes and restarts have damaged the drive beyond use. Get a nice ASUS, many of which support AMD X4 cpus and also SLI (Even TRI-SLI).

  • if i had the money i will build this:

    vido card: Radeon HD 5970

processer: AMD Phenom II X4 945

    psu: Corsair TX750W

    mobo: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO

ram: Mushkin Essential 4gb. 1333 mhz.

hdd: WD Caviar Blue WD1600AAJS (i don't need more)

    case: Cooler Master Cosmos S

    oem: win. 7 home premium

  • I just bought my stuff:

    video card: Radeon HD 5970

    proc: i7 920

    mobo: evga x58 sli le

    ram: 6gb ocz tri-chan ddr3 1600mhz

    hdd: seagate 1tb

    case:(buyin the cosmos s maybe)

    win 7 ultimate

  • can amd processerds work with two! nividia videocards... omg im am not smart at all!!!

    lol ^^

  • Yeah, AMD can work with SLI and not just Crossfire. This is my third machine to use both AMD and SLI.

  • 'no name power supply'?, you don't really care about your parts then dude, why would you spend money on a overly priced case and skimp on a shitty power supply?. I hope it blows up and frys all your parts to teach you a lesson. Also, one more powerful GPU would have been better than 2 260's

  • This power supply has more amps on the 12v rails than most branded 1100W PSUs. It has more leads than anyone could ever use. The only reason it was cheaper is because it's direct from the manufacturing line instead of getting sent to europe to be branded and have an extra £100 added to the price.

  • The GTX 260s are not only 216 editions but are overclocked even higher now than what was in the video. They out perform the GTX275 and in some tests even the GTX 280 at stock.

At time of buying (might need to double check now..) there was no single GPU that can top these two cards in SLI at these speeds.

Even the GTX295 which has two GPU chips about matches the frame rates I'm getting from my cards. Only a dual-processor single card, or a better SLI setup will beat these.

  • XFX 750a SLI..

    Pros:

Very pretty board, runs quite cool, very good onboard graphics, good driver support.

    Cons:

Can't change core volt, stupid SLI jumpers, USB with poor voltage, average stability (nothing special), IDE + 2x SATA ports are covered by large GPUs, 8x8x SLI speed, can't use all four DIMMs at 1066, general poor layout, no clear CMOS on back.

DON'T BUY THIS BOARD if you want a QUALITY gaming build. Go for the equivalent ASUS, MSI or Gigabyte board.

  • dude, i bought thta mobo, its fuckin garbage, im getting the msi 750a for 99 on newegg.

  • If I were you I would just forget the 750a. You can now get a 790i for around 110USD if you look around.
