I wonder why they even had the music in the background since the fx clearly breaks the music samples.

It would've been better they looped one sample from the original tune on one channel and then used the three others for fx...

@dvibe The RAM was to small - this are samples not MP3 or other formats they using today. It was just impossible to do it the way you are thinking.

Nah, I'm not talking about MP3's. I'm talking about two or three looping samples in 8 bit 22khz.. That would've been very possible to achieve.

Anyhow, they should've thought about reserving one channel for fx; like they did in for example Pinball Dreams.
