hooah this guys a genius im leaving for air force basic training december 8 im gonna miss out on christmas new years, my 19th birthday and my girlfriends pussy but u know wat im proud of my choice and im gonna be even more proud when i get to come home after tech school god bless guys and i hope everyone here enjoys their time in the military
My husband was a 2nd Class Petty officer who served on the USS Coral Sea. He was part of the flight crew for the World Famous Fighting Tigers, and ran the inflight refuling shop. I am so proud of him and all the men and women who serve. I am so sorry they are having to serve under a terrorist president now, although I know they will do their duty as trained. I just hope we can dig ourselves out from the current oppresive regieme. If anyone knows how, please IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!
Have you ever found out how the British army do their basic training? I know this has nothing to do with joining the US army but I thought I would ask any way. It's tough when you join any army but i feel joining the UK army is just as tough or maybe tougher. Every one in change is called sir regardless of whether you are an officer or not. Things are more formal and discipline is very high.
Nothing the UK has has anything on the toughness or discipline that the Marines have, if you want discipline join the US MARINES (accept no substitutes) and stand the fuck by.
Thank you for that sarge. I've been asking people who joined the specific details and seems nobody could tell me many about basic. I've been searching for a vid. like this for months now, since I'm about to join. Thank you very much and keep it up.
Hey man, I'm getting ready to join the Air Force, doing my meps in about 4 days here... I just wanted to let you know that after 3 or 4 months of looking online for advice on Basic, this was the most influential thing I came across. Thanks a lot for making this video, its something i will think about many times in Basic.
Any one willing to serve a potentially be killed for this country is great, God bless you. I served in the Marines. It was tough but worth it. Just remember though that the Marines are the only branch left that trains men and women separately as it should be, because we are different emotionally and physically. So I chose the Marines. My only regret is that I waited for college after the marines instead of before. I could of been an officer. Twice as much pay and less bs.
since last time and ur videos make me proud to serve and bring my spirits up thank you and keep them coming and i was wonderign what ur mos was when u were in ok well ill be checking hit me back and thanks again for supporting us and being so blunt thats what people need to hear and let everyone know time and time again dont listen to the media if they want to know whats happening just to ask someone who has been here and we will tell the truth oh yea FUCK CODE PINK
hey bro did a helluva job tellin it how it is thank you for serving and all the great videos i have told all of mt buddies her bout u and how u support us this is mt second deployment to iraq and i have felt many downs this time around its different
That was a great video. I think it's great that you're doing this and giving these young kids an idea of what it's all about. No sugar coating..telling it like it is. Love it.
Excellent, and accurate. Spent my own 18'th B-day in basic, back in '82, at Ft. Jackson SC. The physical was HARD, and the mental was harder. I had issues with my feet, and a knee, and remember another female (not mixed then) in the platoon actually supporting that side during a run when I didn't think I could make it. Thanks, Steele. Thanks, too, Reese, the drill I hated with a passion then, but respect to this day. Remember, everything they do is to make you stronger. Hang tough!
gbeckerswetzel: I saw results from a survey in Navy Times recently that said 27% of military personnel polled think gays should be allowed to serve openly in the military. Another 15% said they would either leave the military, or consider leaving, if gays are allowed to serve openly.
What's your opinion? I'd like to see you do a vid on the issue, since it appears Obama is going to implement an Executive Order allowing full and open service.
wow now theres a question. I wud probably have to write a good episode because my opinion s will really piss gays off so I would have to walk on eggshells.
gbeckerwetzel: If you decide to do a vid don't pull any punches but...I recommend staying away from any slurs.
My opinion is they shouldn't allow open service (at least not in close combat units like the marines, army infantry/armor/artillery, and Specops units). IMO it would adversely impact unit cohesion which would ulitmately result in more failed missions and higher casualties.
And oh yeah, there's the issue of sexual privacy too. If gays can berth/shower with straights, why not women?
No eggshells; tell it like it is. There are some real issues there, and good reasons for the way things have been. I don't think WOMEN (and yeah, I am a veteran) should be in combat areas. Not because of capabilities, but because of the issues that it can cause. Would love to hear your comments on this issue. Send the vid to Nobama, too.
Dude I just started watching your videos. YOU ARE AWSOME. WELL FREAKEN SAID!!! I am a vet there is no better pride than serving your counrty. Keep doing what your doing we need people like you in this counrty.
It was 31 July 1985 Fort Sill OK. when I stepped off that cattle trailer, and was greeted by a screaming Drill Sergent that I thought was 7 feet tall, but thanks to 4 years of ROTC in high school I was able to get though basic with out to much trouble. They did the same thing to us during our road march. 25 miles with a stained ligament in my right knee, and I almost dropped out. My bothers helped me that day. Just like I helped them with drill and ceremony.
You will do fine you have already done the hard part. Remember we are all brothers in arms. Army, Navy, Marine, Air force, and the coast guard it matters not.
Damn, are you on target. Listening to you actually makes me feel good about this country again. Is that stupid? Perhaps, but I like the feeling. And I went through Basic in 1977 !! Oyy...
I missed my son this Christmas, he is in Iraq. I did shed a few tears which flowed uncontrollably. I do not hear from him very often. I finally received an email from him telling me he received an award for the airman of the month from his base in Iraq. This kid of mine has some great stories (the best ones are from boot camp). Best of all he's sense of humor and sense of living, sharing and motivation makes me the proudest mom ever. Thanks Sgt. Freedom for your encouragement.
Those numbers above go to show Military personnel are rare and very special people. Next time you run into a Military person remember the numbers above and thank them for stepping up. And never forget the Vets.
