  • This is one of my top favorite songs of all time!

  • at the 1st january steffany frizzel and williams matthews were in my church in switzerland and gave a concert... it was sooooo great! during and after the concert i was filled with happyness and power!! god leads they both in such a spacial way!! it's just amazing!! :D blessings! :DD

  • wooow i love this song so much, every single word is just moving, i wish i could sing and write songs like this, God please me to!!

  • I had the honor of sharing most of summer of 2009 with Amanda at Bethel School of Supernatural Worship.

Not only is she incredibly talented, she has such an amazing heart and beautiful light.

  • her voice is actually so amazing like omg.

  • No other name be lifted high.

  • I played this song tonight at cbc san antonio's impact. It has such a beautiful part for keys, and it can be such a moving song.

  • I LOVE this song and the way Amanda sings it!!! It is so beautiful.

  • @Aphoresis I would say they sound more like the Vineyard churches, while Kari Jobe sounds like Hillsong whose sounds follow C3... I wouldn't call her "judging." She made an observation about Christian music, which is an industry known for being derivative and unoriginal. I don't think she should have been attacked the way she was, especially when she has a background in music and made a musical observation. Many of the reviews for the album stated similar things, but scored Bethel VERY well.

  • @takitheterrible Well this song perhaps may sound a bit like Vineyard, but as a general rule? Vineyard isn't exactly known for a an edgy rock sound as is the case with a lot of Bethel's stuff.. But maybe I just need to hear more Vineyard. "She made an observation about Christian music, which is an industry known for being derivative and unoriginal" Relative to what? modern secular music?! Personal i find Rihanna and Justin Bieber and most of the top 40 quite derivative,

  • @Aphoresis Bethel comes out of that Vineyard sound. It's a little more electric guitar-driven, but it's still very Vineyard-- very third wave.

Everything is derivative these days. I love Gungor because they're different, but they sound like every indie pop band. Here Is Love is a great album because it took old songs and completely redid them. You kinda see this with "Forever In A Day." They turned it into a cool surf-rock ditty. There's nothing wrong with analyzing music though. It moves us.

  • @takitheterrible

I'm not only referring to the Electric guitar (which when used in the way that it is classically used since the 1960's, dictates it's own musically style, not just a sound) but to the visceral rock style vocals (Jenn Johnson, Kim Walker, Stefany Frizzell) that are often included in Bethel music. Vocally, Amanda Falk's style happens to be an exception to this trend, having a more folksy sound.

  • Derivative? See when words like that are used I always ask myself relative to what?

You didn't take up the point I made about most mainstream music being derivative so I assume you agree with the assessment. I don't think that we can single out Christian music, and in reality, secular music is becoming more and more homogeneous than it has ever been, while Christian is becoming more diverse than it has ever been. Note that you are comparing relatively mainstream Christian band to INDIE Pop.

  • I cannot understand why Christians apply a higher standard to Christian music than to secular music.

Now 20 or 30 years ago these assessments would be absolutely on point, but given the absolutely atrocious condition of current mainstream secular music, they just don't fly in my opinion.

  • @Aphoresis so true i've actually lost all my appeal for secular music, gospel music has such a better impact on one's spirit, it just way better!

  • I'm sorry I ever commented since I've heard so much feedback and can't seem to find my original comment to remove. I can't seem to apologize enough. It's like apologizing sometimes draws some people into a mode of, "Yeah, how dare you!" even more indignation towards me? The music is not directed at me anyway but God so please realize I realized I was rong--RONG-- I was RONG!--and please stop picking on this old lady? I/We should not be critical of worship music.

  • @pjmnash You are allowed to have an opinion, just like you are allowed to change your opinion. Don't let other people get to you. We are all learning and these are your brothers and sisters. I do think some of the "how-dare-you" and hyperspiritual "this-is-worship-don't-critique-it" was not the way to approach your concerns regarding the similarities between Bethel and Kari Jobe/Hillsong. Instead, we should do everything in love.

I'll delete anything that further criticizes you.

    #allinlove

  • @pjmnash

I'm sorry, I didn't see your other comments. its the way Youtube is designed. They play conversational exchanges at the top of the page, above all the other comments, so it's the first thing that people see. Many people don't even read any further down, especially if they decide to reply to something they see there.

  • I don't usually comment on songs but this one really hits me. The words are completely sincere and our Saviour is glorified! If we are to be unified in Christ, we're gonna look alike, talk alike maybe even sound alike. The more we come together in the likeness of Jesus, the more we'll begin to realize how meaningless our silly little arguments and disagreements are. There is a greater purpose here. Let us encourage each other with the Love that comes from above. Please check out my songs!

  • all these songs sound the same

  • Amazing just amazing

  • absoloutly love this song!, so much anointing!

  • amazing :X:X

  • my gosh...such a good song

  • to God be the glory great things He has done, so loved he the world that he gave us His Son who yielded His life an atonment for sin, and opened the lifegate that all may come in. praise the Lord. Praise The Lord! Let the earth hear His Voice! Praise The Lord, Praise The Lord!!!! Let the people rejoice! O come to The Father through Jesus The Son, and give Him the glory, great things He has done

  • I believe God's drawing His people into submission and allowing Him to move in us and through us. This song hits the nail on the head - without His presence there's no meaning. That's why the church has been in decline, that's why we've been so ineffective, because without the Lord's tangible presence in our meetings there's no point. As for me, I'm desperate for the Lord's presence and that's how I worship. My heart is after God, and songs like this take me right there, no matter what you think

  • @TheExit223 I'm a worship leader, too and I get what you mean. We have a meeting twice on a Sunday. The first is a family worship service, where we cater for people of all ages. On a Sunday evening we have just worship, with no preaching, no ministry, we just simply worship the Lord. We've been doing this almost every Sunday for 10 years, yet we only ever get a handful of people come. Yet we're there for the Lord, and allow the Holy Spirit to do whatever He wants. We've had some incredible times

  • Thank you so much for posting this song! I've been looking for this song for a very long time! I've found "I will Exalt You" but I was hoping to find the song with "Your presence is all I want, all I need" :D

  • This song brings me close to God. I like the slight folk sound in this song. I can listen all day to this song. It attracts God's presence.

  • Shyju Mathew sent me here. LOL

  • This song brought tears to my eyes tonight... Holy Spirit moves at the right time...

  • me thinks this is absolutely phenomenal

  • Me thinks the keys is Matt Stinton :-)

  • I dont care who the music sounds like. I agree with one of u who said its the heart behind the worship. This music IS annointed, if u are judging it, id move to the side before lightening strikes u on top of your judgemental head!

  • @pjmnash in the end... it's about the truth in how you worship Jesus Christ. In the end, when the saved live with God, we will all have a chorus of unity, singing and praising our Lord and Saviour. Music styles won't matter but our will to praise our Lord and Savior

  • Could this be one of many song in the Orchestra assembled by God for us to be blessing to His ears this song is amazing it bring me into a deeper form of worship i had not felt for awhile the album has that effect thank you for the blessing you are to this old soldier In Christ army

  • Could this be one many song in the orchestral assembled by God for us to be blessing to His ears this song is amazing it brought my life back to a deeper form of worship i had not be in for quite awhile did not know how much i missed it the album has that effect thank you for the blessing you are to this old solider In Christ army

  • Amanda - you truly inspire me. When I think back to the first time I heard you sing this song, I get chills. You boldly reach people on and off the stage and God shines his love through you. I am so thankful to know such a humble musician! Love you :)

  • @202dmp When you are a fan of music, in general, you often notice similarities and differences between a range of artists.

  • @takitheterrible

Yes, you are right about that! What I do think, is relevant to the artist ONLY & perhaps not appropriate on a public site. I believe--no, I know--that Miss Amanda will blossom BEST when she eventually discovers her own style. As an a young lady, well--I had to have someone to pattern after too! Who am I to speak-I'm finally following my own advice at 61! And God is blessing me--FINALLY as I'm myself. IB slow!

I apologize & there is no need to rant against me further.

  • @takitheterrible Well then you'll notice although they are similar they are still quite different :)

  • Thank you Taki, the not-so-terrible.

My friend convinced me that I was being snobbish and told me that the song runs through her head all day & as a retired musician, I was taught to never argue with my/your audience! Evidently God has used this song to touch many & I can't argue with that wonderful fact! Someone commented: " absolutely gorgeous voice. Who is she?" Amanda?

I like the dynamic contrast and the melody is strong. I apologize!

  • @pjmnash Amanda Falk's style is like that. The mixing of the crowd's vocals on this album are very Hillsong-y, which is a depart from HERE IS LOVE which was more Bethel's style. While I don't like the similarities, I enjoy Bethel's album anyway. It may be similar, but it's much (if I can say this) better.
