@shootinshotguns hey same! haha legit 3 weeks ago lol...i was the fly fishing and it was a beautiful experience...and had a lot of fun! going there in a few weeks for some more fun haha
@sawrestler1313 lol i doubt you where the fly fisherman i saw. but you were wading in the water in about half way up your thighs and i was with my dad and he talked breifly with the guy
@shootinshotguns Hahahaha wow, that wasnt me dude. i was with my dad and my brother...i went behind the orvis shop and fished flies for a little then moved to the right under the bridge and walked farther down where the big rock is and threw on some nymphs and had a lot of fun! i need to head up the as soon a winter sets in man(: me and you need to catch some nice browns!
@shootinshotguns dude im 15 haha thats sweet, we should deff see if we can go up there sometim during winter together! and was that your dad that caught the fish
@sawrestler1313 well if your asking about slippery rock creek we each caught about 30 maxed out our limit. im going up there today for some bass fishing, might try for some trout but my guess is most of them are fished out. and im not a fly fisherman i want to but for trout i usually just use white or black joe flies depending on water conditions. some times cheese and meal worms
I fish trout all winter as long as the river isnt frozen over. caught four including a 20 inch rainbow when it was only 15 degrees out back in december.
I was thinking about the glacier gloves with the removable thumb and index fingerbut I had a pair before a few years ago and they fell apart in 3 or 4 trips. Maybe they are better now, but the wools are failsafe.
i was there at that exact same spot 3 weeks ago. didnt catch anything but the fly fisherman seemed to have some luck
