There are a lot of fun videos about Italian quirks, this isn't one of those. you can be fired only for very good reasons and after a formal warn. If an employer fired you without good reasons you could report him to your craft union and get the job back + many money. That is why an employer in italy could scream at you but it is hard that you get fired.

the stereotype is normal. The italians that immigrated years ago in the states was ppl from the south of italy. The ppl from north italy goes in south america. So u have pretty much ppl from sicily in the States.

Nothing against Italians, some of my best friends are Italian, including my girlfriend, whom I love very much, but he's not exactly inaccurate. And, no offense taken, because he is very funny.
