  • Det här låter som Thomas Di Leva!

  • This is a apocalyptic folk. Remembers Rome's Odessa.

  • Paul's older voice sounds great on this. It has a lot more character than if he would have sung it when he was a little younger.

  • Thanks!

  • amazing song!

  • makes me sad and happy at the same time...

  • I think Paul sounds a bit past it - think people are being sentimental and maybe only liking cos it's Paul. Love Nitin usually but not this sorry.

  • @amychubby - Rubbish. This is a beautiful song and Paul's voice is full of emotion - his interpretation and 'soul' fit the song perfectly.

  • @AmyCoeur - sorry only my opinion and all that........ peace! ;-)

  • Great song!

  • :D

  • beautiful..

  • Didnt know Nitin until a friend from the US showed me "Procesy"

    Wow! Huge Respect

  • This is a really wonderful and impressive song!!!!!!

  • I don't care who wrote this... it is beside the point, The point is that two great British musicians come together and create magic. This is indeed an unforgettable song.

  • This is Nitin Sawhney FEATURING Paul McCartney, I think people should remember that.

  • Written by Paul McCartney & Nitin Sawhney

    Produced by Nitin Sawhney

Recorded, engineered & Mixed at The Hive, London

PAUL McCARTNEY: vocals, bass, acoustic & electric guitars

    REENA BHARDWAJ: backing vocals

NITIN SAWHNEY: programming, fender Rhodes, bass, acoustic & electric guitars

    ASHWIN SRINIVASAN: flute

    RALPH SALMINS: drums

URBAN SOUL ORCHESTRA arranged & conducted by Nitin Sawhney

  • @YesPaulRocks Point being? This track is still on Nitin's album.

  • Comment removed

  • everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that this is, in fact, another great Nitin Sawnhey track - this time around featuring the vocals of Paul McC

  • Is there anybody who can play this song as the original? I'd like to see

  • where can I download this?

  • does anyone know the guitar chords to this song?

  • Is it possible not to love Paul?

  • Which Paul is the better question?

  • @srtacarolina100 i don't think so

  • Sounds like it would have fit perfectly on Paul's "Chaos And Creation In The Backyard"

  • My new Macca favourite. Sublime..

    He's just fab isn't he?

  • Paul still incredible after all these years. He was a", , Great Beattle", but he's the greatest soloist and songwriter of more than 2.5 generations.

  • Absolutely love this song.

  • los amo a los dos esta cancio es maravillosa

  • guess its the heart of Nitin - shinin' throu

  • what a wonderful song...paul has such a wonderful heart!

  • where can i download this

  • I adore this song!

  • It just goes to show that Paul really is a great guy.

And that even though his ex-wife was less than easy on him throughout the divorce, he still treated her with all the respect in his big heart.

  • les 2 sont incroyables...more than great...

  • Fantastic as always. I love this man. i've listened to him day in and day out for so long and never tire of him. rock on Paul.x

  • Paul's voice sounds incredible as always.....fitting for the song.

    Thank you for posting.

    Ram on,

    Joe.

  • old & shaky only add to the song

  • @simbadidge he's still perfect man, just let him do his thing! He's still making millions of people happy, and more importantly he's making himself happy, and that's all that really matters.

Besides, personally I think that this song is beautiful, and without the old and shaky it would be less so :(

  • i love this song soooo much

    especially from 2:50-3:01

and the piano in the background makes it even more beautiful!!!! :D

  • ;)

(the emoticon was what i wanted to post, but youtube had me write a longer comment :-?? )

  • I heard Nitin talking about his music on the radio today. The interview ended with this amazing song :)

  • Sublime

    Te.amo.Sir.Paul:D

  • ...comes the music guru. Listen idiot. Its really easy to criticize great work of art from distance.

Go learn to play piano and try for the rest of your life, creating a song half as good as this one.

And if we see "Mr. weasel" on Nitin's compilation and listen to it over and over again and find the beauty in simplicity, we'll take your comment seriously.

until then...just wash your ring finger and slowly insert it in your hole.

  • Its an opinion, learn to live with it. I would say the same thing to Nitin if I met him in person. I have listed to NItin Sawhney for many years and greately enjoy the songs with Tina grace and Imogen Heap on this album (although it is one of his weaker albums). I don't particularly care for Paul McCartneys work. Yours is a baseless and foolish statement, since you have no clue of my background.

  • @mrweasel Well, Paul's strong point is making incredibly beautiful songs with surprising simplicity. And most people adore him for that.

  • This reminds me of Herbert from Family Guy

  • omg i could just listen to this song over and onver..i was soooo happy when it came out last year...its so beautiful! and i love it how sometimes it seems like Paul is choking up or something...i dont know...i just adore it

  • wonderful!! Thanks to Nat Geo Music I heard it, Paul is brilliant here and also Nitin , i never heard about him and i see he has 7 LP!!

  • I adore Paul, he can describe and feel every possible emotion in music

  • work of inspirational geniuses

  • I heard Paul McCartney wrote this for Heather Mills. Isn't that crazy?!

  • I guess he knows all her secrets now...

  • beautiful...really really beautiful song

    thanks for this video.

    is wonderful

  • I love this song. When I first heard it I had no idea it was Paul McCartney. It is great to see that he is still putting out compelling music.

  • the complicated we get the complicated we feel and you know this keeps us sane may be iam still insane to feel all this seriously

  • how could we feel all thease feelings we humans the complicated we get the complicated we feel what could we do its really weird I think us humans are the weirdest species on this earth I mean we really really really are wierd there is no other word for it seriously we do the wierdest things and feel the wierdest things I guess we are the civilized species and how did we figure that out

  • For me it's another nearly song. it could have been great. It starts of in a beautiful, pleading sort of way but in the end it becomes too much the singalong type music that Paul McCartney lapses into too often. I'm not one of those anti-McCartney people. I'd love it if he wrote another classic hit that the whole world loved.

  • Beautiful!

    Thank you Beatleologist for sharing!

    (((Hugs)))

    ~Mimi

  • I dedicate this song for a girl, this song is beauty, wonderful, amazing, and every time I hear this song, i remember that girl, because i love her a lot

  • What a beautiful song ,thank you for sharing and thank you to beatleoligist for sharing ........

  • Also, Nitin Sawhney is the Music Composer for the upcoming "The Fifth Beatle" movie. The movie is in the works about the last six years of the life of The Beatles' manager, Brian Epstein.

  • This is a song that Paul collaborated with Nitin in reference to his former wife Heather. It is not so much as a love song but as an expression of feeling sorry for her. He was not aware of her shady past until after they had separated. She did not reveal that part of herself during their relationship. This is Paul's gentle way of sympathizing with her compared to his other album "Electric Arguments" where he vents all his frustrations of betrayal in practically every song.

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for posting & great comments on a song i just found out about today...-->thx dale.. the first few lines are weak in the vocals but the song is good and much better as the song goes on indeed, even on a dickie bird rock on all ! thx yespaulrocks

  • Nitin Sawhney, guest singer = paul mccartney

  • Soooo nice, when was this recorded? i think some years ago, Pauls voice today sounds much better. His voice reminds me to the late Johny Cash on "One", but Paul is still is alive and very very good after Heather. I am lucky about this!

  • Is everyone forgetting this is Nitin Sawhney aswell lol.

  • seems so, Nitin produced this tune, paul is a guest lol

  • Paul sounds so old. But I love it!

  • wake up people we dont have a soul may be at least i dont.... peace

  • Nitin produced this song not Paul so maybe thats why it sounds different? :)

  • I've been a fan of Paul's work for many years, but this isn't a great vocal take. It doesn't help that he's so far up in the mix with little or no effect during most of the track.

So in short, both the production & his throat sound 'dry'!

    Nice song tho...

  • Another moving song from Mr. McCartney. Again it sings my soul. However, I am almost (but not quite!) used to that now from him, as this has happened for so many years. His genius - to make so many people feel that way.

  • His voice is so beautifull, filled with pain

  • His voice is so different here! Missing

    the Beatles background voices...

    The song is nice anyway!

  • My Soul, my heart \\..//

  • life takes its coarse people! Voices change over time, right from 12 yrs old up to your 80's...but he definitely still has his range.. a man of class... he's the best.

  • Play it again Paul.

    Play it again Paul.

    My hero. (:

  • What an awesome tune, my soul my heart,am crying and smiling at same time

  • Paul in the noughties has been a different class & this song is absolutely awesome. Many thanks for the post.

  • OMG i feel like crying so much-----especially because it sounds like PAUL is crying sometimes......omg..its beautiful...

  • What a year for Paul, great concerts, fantastic album from the Fireman and now this song which I think is just fantastic, he's just amazing.

  • i am macca fan, but i really don't like that voice at the beginning of the song, mostly throu all the song, at the end his voice sound clearer and nicer, stronger.

  • hey, i love paul. i think his singing represents his age in a lovely way :)

  • hey, it does not necessarily has to be that way, he can sing without that "old style", he can do it, i've seen him live more than 10 times and he can sing as natural as he's always sung in the past, but he seems to like singing with a wick voice.

  • i think it's just natural for an old man to sing in an old voice. that's how things should be. And Paul's old voice is as beautiful and touching as his young one.Imho

  • leftywilbury

I saw paul in Liverpool 08, I know he still rocks :)

  • that is my point, i've seen him many times and i definitely know he can still rock, but that voice, god , i just don't like it, very wick. at the end of the ong his voice is better, and stronger.

  • I do not see his voice as weak, he feels the lyrics so much thats all? Can we agree to disagree leftywilbury?

  • you may be right, but anyway his voice is not good, again: at the beginning of the song only, it is weak. or does it sound the same as on GORGEOUS ballads like "put it there" o "distractions" ? i can mention so many more examples, have you heard yvonne?

  • who

  • skycladwow, have you heard similar songs by macca ?

  • lefty, I love Paul's tune 'little willow' have you heard it?

  • yes, i agree, that is a great song with firm and clear voice, not this one.

  • OMG OMG OMG

exactly when did you see Paul?

  • i've seen many live macca shows in mexico, usa (different cities), england, holland, spain and belgium. some of them were great.

  • wow! what years?!

some of them werent so good, then?

  • This song's probably not about Heather at all.

  • Who? lol

  • Can't stop listening to this Song. So perfect here & Now. Brilliant SONG. Wattmanmarc

  • Now this is more like it, this is a very good song, way better than that Electric Arguments material.

  • I can´t stop listening to this song... should be a instant hit... only one person can sing like this...

  • how do you sleep now Heather?

This song tells all I need to know..

    But we all know...

  • what a GENIUS... Love you Paul!!!!!

His voice is still the best...

So much feeling... What a great thrill

    Thank you for this download..

  • Nitin or Paul do not have this on their channel? Hope account is not deleted. Love this song so much :)

  • That's surprising. Usually they won't accept my videos of Paul's music because of copyright infringement. It's quite a song, too!

  • Just so you know, my last Youtube account got deleted for posting this song, so just watch out, I don't want to see anything bad happen to youur account.

  • Fantastic, I think that when Paul really feels something, well, he makes us just cry. A beautiful song, really

  • Past fav tunes have been Faithless and Robbie, now I have Nitin and Paul !! What else could I ask for? Jim Morrison and Marc Bolan? Thats my fantasy? What do you think would have happened?

  • There is just no one in this guy's league. John was the only one that was his equal.

  • Heard this on the radio. Couldn't wait to look for it here. Just beautiful :)

  • This song is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! LOVE it!!!

  • Great song! I like the little slide guitar touches. Makes me think George is somewhere around. Nice ending too. Paul should make this a single to keep us satisfied until his tour or next true LP comes out (not counting the upcoming Fireman LP)

  • Rather moving, truth spoken and a dazzle of love...

    Thank you kindly for sharing.

'my soul, your heart, two worlds apart, this life.'

    -London Underground

  • i agree!

the song for some reason reminds me of "This Loving Game" but I don't know why.

    this song is fantastic.

  • A sad, moving song - with middle section sounding like "She's Given Up Talking" - gradually changing from slow ballad to dynamic finale.

  • paul does it again. I love all his unpopular songs..so many hidden gems!

  • This is the 1st time I have written a comment. My eyes teared up when I listened to this song. It's beautiful!
