Ever since we (my girlfriend and I) saw Real Steel we've been hooked to his music. We went to a show 6 weeks ago and it's was truly amazing.

This may sound stupid but I feel this song could have been written for me. I know it wasn't but It described me so well. I spent most of my life down and depressed. Nothing seemed to be good or right. Then one day things just got better. I stopped being depressed and being grateful for the life I lived. I am still living my life the happiest way I can and things are doing really great for me. I would really love to commemorate this song in a tattoo somehow and get it one day.

@IronUKs Clinging to comparisons is one thing, but you have completely shown your very limited musical prowess by comparing the two. That is a very immature comparison that shows you just don't have an ear for music. They are completely different songs, and the use of finger picking and the repetition of one phrase to add emphasis are not barely enough to compare two songs. Especially to call it a rip off. I bet everyone who plays acoustic guitar is a rip of of Nick Drake to you, huh?

@IronUKs Just because he's a singer/songwriter that fingerpicks doesn't mean he's ripping off Nick Drake. Most of Drake's stuff was in unusual tunings, Murdoch's is all in standard, I think.

YES! I agree that he sounds like Nick Drake. We sat in the movie theater for Away We Go and snapped our heads to each other and said "Is this Nick Drake??" Brilliant voice.

Love the song and the guitar work, but the cameraman here kills me-- he focused on the fretboard every time Alexi wasn't doing much but holding a D-chord and then pans away on the interesting fretting. Very frustrating. Back to just using my ears.
