  • I learned this when I was just a kid and it never helped me until 10 years later I had this bully who kept pushing me and next second I don't know how it came but as he was shoving me I effectuated a beautiful iponsunagé and the guy was flying over my head. He gave me respect after that, good memories!

  • @jogwolf thumbs up!

  • good job for techniques end good job very good very

  • @alefernandes100 Thanks!

  • wrong

  • @Jimenykrickets right :)

  • my sensei is quite rude about this, and this is improper.

  • He should be on his toes more. This black belt doesn't deserve a dan rank.

  • heeelp

  • Good job with this guys! Keep the good work up!!

  • to much judo influence, not proper ninjutsu

  • @bestyboi90

    IT'S JUDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IGNORE THE FIRST MESSAGE IN THE VIDEO

(if you don;t believe me seeone of the earlier comment!

  • This guy sucks

  • On the ippon seionage, you need to bend your knees so uke doesn't hit head in to the mat.

  • @4judoka If you want to keep uke from not hurting himself, sure. But in the street you cant do that. Also, uke needs to learn how to fall in many situations, not only in those wich are comfortable for him.

  • @tomimar2001 . I totally disagree on that. You need to lean how to fall the right way, so you dont create bad habits. If you know Judo you can throw anybody and hurt somebody either on the Dojo or on the street. A good judoka knows how to fall without hurting himself. That why we do katas, so we can learn the right way .

  • good job guys keep going

  • Yeah, the position you take is very dangerous cause instead of just bending your knees you actually touch the ground with your knees. This means your partner will hit the ground head first which is never a good thing.

  • @WNxWolfinator To be honest it doesn't matter because the partner puts his weight back a bit making himself ready for the launch

  • @WNxWolfinator it's a drop seoi nage

  • wow... ninjitsu? All ninjitsu people do in their classes is train bjj/judo moves and wear a black gi lol why is there like 20 types of jitsu's... theres ju jitsu and brazilian jiu jitsu thats it.

  • How is this Ninjutsu? It's called Judo. This and O Soto Gari and Uchi Mata and O Goshi and Ouchi Gari. You can't bundle a bunch of martial arts and call it Ninjutsu.

  • @Pedrovhb Respectfully, if you dig around akban.org you'll see that documenting martial arts is a project that is bigger then our syllabus.

So we intend to document many martial arts that are not in our syllabus.

As for Judo, we have been doing Judo for many years as we feel that it covers throw work more thoroughly then Budo Ninjutsu.

  • @ninjalla

Oh, ok. I was just mistaken in thinking you were teaching this as Ninjutsu, because of the opening message.

  • @Pedrovhb Sure, keep training friend

  • @Pedrovhb

the seoi technique originally came from yoshin ryu, which is taught as a school of ninjutusu, also juso was created from a culmination of judo schools, so labeling seoi as a ninjutsu technique would not be incorrect as it is in the densho

  • @Pedrovhb Ninjitsu is also from Japan.

  • @Pedrovhb Judo is in a lot of martial arts, including Ninjutsu and the way of the samurai (the name slips me at the moment).

  • the ninpo taijutsu techniques are much ancient than judo, wich envolves throwing techniques from ju jutsu, which judo evolved from... most japanese arts have similar techniques... however ninjutsu, its different from ninpo taijutsu.

  • basic mistake

bend knees a little bit and go up to throw him easier, it works without but its hard to perform this to a 240 pound guy without knee bend

but actually a nice move and good performance

  • Bonjour et merci pour les vidéos.

il y a une variante, faut voir Koga en action.

C'est assez impressionnant mais ça passe bien.

    peace...

  • @8vangel Merci...

  • Everything is now called only "seoi nage"

  • 0:21

    Seoi Otoshi

  • no, but i do Ju Jutsu, and we also have that throw.

  • This is pretty good, but you've gotta go a bit through your knees before throwing

  • i did, not anymore, but i know most of the throws

  • yes

  • What's the difference of "Ippon Seoi Nage" and "Seoi Nage"?

    Thank's

  • Seoi Nage = ippon and morote

Ippon Seoi Nage: One arm over

Morote Seoi Nage: Two hand grab

  • it's all ippon seoi nage

  • No it's not. Ippon Seoi nage is a different name for morote seio..Drop Seoi is not Ippon Seoi...then you have Seio otoshi which is not Ippon Seio either. These are all "Seio" throws but they are most definitely not all Ippon Seio.

  • What is the perfect weight to perform that move?!

  • There is no perfect one form. But there are many variations that work. We will probably retake this technique in a better form. I will try to send you an inside-youtube note then.

  • This is not so good technique, try practice them at judo club with real judo guys if you want to be good at throws.

  • This is a Judo club and we are real Judo guys but it seems that you are right - In our effort to document techniques in the Akban-wiki we did not do this one correctly.

We will probably retake this one soon.

  • Your standing flat footed on the entry and it traps your back leg making it look awkward. What the other guys said, bend your knees. The drop seoi nage I believe was the best throw.

  • Some of what you said is correct. We hope to retake this technique shortly.

  • Oh.. hhaha, I wasn't alone about that discovery... sorry mates. ^^

  • Right you are all, while trying to video all the basic nage waza for the Akban-wiki this technique (and some others)slipped by, We will retake this one, thanks guys.

  • Wow.. how did he get black belt? -.-

You need to HOLD HIS ARM, BEND YOUR KNEES!

Something tells me he isn't really a black belt. He could've killed the other guy, just watch how close he is to break his freaking neck!

  • dude thats nowere near braking his neck watch some on kogas ippon seois hes like the moater of ippon seoi and he make some of his ukis land on there heads i think we will get over it. but its fine.....

  • not close at all.? it was clean and every 1 has differnt thorwing methods

  • flex your knees when standing and don't do the eri seoi nage unless you keep VERY close with the uke during the fall. You have to pull him very tight to you, if you don't you will break his neck.

  • sorry but in standing position you are doing a big mistake. if you want that throw to be effective, bend knees a little bit and then use it lika a catapult. it is basic front-throw and you are making basic mistake. that low position throw was very dangerous for your frieds' neck.

  • agree always bend your knees

  • @kuktafonisko It's called a 'drop' seonage and is very common in competition Judo as you use all your weight to throw. Bas Rutten says if you wanna kill someone, do that to them on concrete.

  • Your eriseoinage is just ipponseoi showed on migi but hidari grip

  • I think actually it is suwaru seoi. Also, TURN YOUR HEAD!!!

  • yes sir his neck almost wow dont even want to think about it but the uke always has to protect himself or at least try

  • You almost broke that guys neck on the drop seoi nage....my suggestion would be falling directly underneath him, or as far inside the gap his feet make as possible. Also grabbing firmly and when you fall turning and twisting your upper body so your uke wont fall straight forward head first. Keep posting
