i have a strong hungarian back ground and if i ever visit again ill definitely search you out for a lesson or two! (shame i can't write the language though)
Hi man! Very nice. Any hints on your sound setup? I am using A Music Man Lukather and digidelay from Digitech plus Vox Tonelab and I am not getting such a clear sound and I am freaking out. My legato playing goes to pieces with the effect I got...what are you using man? Thanks a lot if you can share a bit...
@mtikkanen Thanks! The guitar is a Samick Artist Series model, and I've used a Boss GT-3 effects processor for this one, plus the BBE Sonic Maximizer for compression - it adds an extra bite to the tone.
u are fuckin amazing did u teach urself, how long u been playing and i mean this from the bottom of my soul a duo of slash and kirk hammet have nothing on u, well apart from a shit load of money =D
@dreamtheatrekikass Thanks bro! Yes, I didn't have any teacher, but I've practiced really hard for almost 15 years - and I loved each and every moment of it.
@tamasjonas i know what u mean maan iv been playin 4 round 3 - 4 years i play stuff like metallica, iron maiden and (obv) dream theater =D wat other bands u like?
@dreamtheatrekikass you can check out my detailed list of influences on my homepage (link in the video details, click 'Enter site' and then on 'Influences').
@reuben649 Thanks. On this video, I've used a moderate compression, a vintage overdrive effect and some stereo delay plus a realtime EQ software plugin.
I don't like Jonh Petrucci's guitar playing. It's not artistry, it has a weird melody playing that it's not quite human, it's more of a machine than anything else. The first computer program that will learn to play guitar by "hearing" will learn it best by him. Don't know, it's just some almost endless stream of notes with no salt...
@dannykanoista The only type of person that would say that is one that either hasn't heard much of Petrucci's work, or doesn't know how to play an instrument. His talent, skill, emotion, writing ability, everything he does is amazing. Without him, this guy probably wouldn't be where he is today. You, Sir can go troll somewhere else.
AWESOME! REALLY AWESOME LOVED IT! ... and nice to see you too in the video.... you know some other guitarsplayers put only the guitar in the video :)
AWESOME ... i cant lie----im trying to learn the shreds you do in the video :3 haha awesome and thanks for your influence too :)
GOOD LUCK! And really i hate that in the related videos are the jonas brothers :( you know i think that THIS ROCKS!... not that fckin pop that they call "ROCK" ...

Any hints on the distortion gain and amp model tone settings plus delay times? Great sounds for a GT3 I have to say
mtikkanen 1 year ago
@mtikkanen I've used the vintage overdrive setting (mid gain) with the BG Lead amp model. Mic setting is center, gain and presence around 5-6.
Delay times are set on 8th notes, according to the actual BPM.

Epic comment.
That was too good to be an improvisation. But I know this is a song you practiced many times.
Good work!
