Crooked Still - worth travelling to the Shetlands for. Their live concerts are a BLAST, what a great band, and they make time to talk with the fans afterwards. They are taking a break for 2012, much deserved.

Hey don't know what Tsjoencinema meant - perhaps they were looking for Shetland music and in searching Shetland found a lot of clips from our annual folk festival instead (which features both visiting and local bands). Crooked Still were and are indeed fantastic. They do tour in Ireland from time to time too - you gotta catch em!

To get such a full sound from 3 instruments is simply astonishing!! And the banjo player, never heard such original picking. I don't even have to mention the genius of Rished on cello. The singer is simply wonderful,I have fallen fallen in love with her---go!!!!!

I love the way these guys are shaping and evolving the most ancient, soulful form of american music. Roscoe Holcomb, Clarence Ashley, Vasser Clements, Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs, Ralph Stanley and countless others have all laid it down for others to enjoy and carry forward. Nobody does it better than this crowd of unbelievably talented and innovative musicians. PLEASE...come do a tour in the southeast. You would be very appreciated!
