@Kawamura2 I'm not sure which rock format US version you're listening to, but Fiddler's Green is German, and has what I think might be the definitive rock version of this song.

Also, I performed this recently with an ensemble consisting of a 300 pound linebacker monolith of a drunken Scotsman, myself on fiddle, and a drummer...the big guy told me "I don't know what this is called, but I know that I'm drunk" before jumping up on a table and belting it out. Fun times.

Oh, sure, we have a few nods to socialized medicine, but you have to be almost dirt poor or homeless before they will help you. Gays in this country do not have the right to marry their partner legally, and share the same benefits straight couples have. These are just a couple of the problems our "Great" nation has.

I'm sure other countries have their problems with socialized medicine, but our country is in dire need of it. All of Silly Wizard is present, Phil Cunningham, Gordon Jones, Martin Hadden and Andy M Stewart - except for the late Johnny Cunningham. Other artists joining them onstage: Iain MacDonald, John McCusker,Duncan Chilsholm and others. This was a brilliant moment for Silly Wizard fans, as well as all fans of celtic and Scottish music. i've been listning to Silly Wizard since the late 70's,still one of my fav Scottish bands. also check out Dougie McLean and The Tannahill Weavers. started in the same time period ,which was a kinda revival time for celtic folk-traditional-stryled music. thanks for sharing.
