Never say never! The Twin Towers can always be rebuilt in another part of Manhattan or anywhere in New York City. The new WTC is ugly. I know people who work for the Port Authority and they also do not like the new WTC. The Twin Towers were not rebuilt because Governor Pataki screwed it up. He was good friends with the man who designed the new WTC. It's ugly and there are millions of people who feel the same way I do. And if I were in charge I would rebuild them right where they stood.

If a developer with enough money and balls purchases the land where the memorial foutains are (the original footprints of the Towers) they can be rebuild where they once stood. I even want to see all of the WTC Towers rebuild to exactly how thy were with the original stage and courtyard back there as well. I also want to see tthe WTC Marriott as WTC Tower 3 come back again too. You can even rebuild The Towers somewhere else in Manattan, there is land.

The freedom tower is fucking UGLY, just like the rest of the crappy wtc towers they are building. We had a chance to rebuild our skyline the way it was before 9/11, but the jack ass bastard governor george pataki made the huge mistake of not rebuilding them. Don't forget that govvernor pataki was and still is very good friend with the jackass who designed the shitty freedom tower. The Twin Towers were the WTC, the freedom tower is NOT. I wish I could rip up those fountains and rebuild.
While I understand and respect everyone's opinions regarding 1WTC, I must ask- how could the construction of a technologically and architecturally revolutionary building in the name of our nation possibly be considered a concession to the terrorists who crushed us on 9/11? It's something to marvel at, not sneer at. Whether rebuilding would have been better or not, this tower is what we will have, so shouldn't we try and appreciate it? Shouldn't we stand behind it as American citizens?
@wild0hawks I'm not here to argue or try to change your opinion (opinion), but in my point of view rebuilding the twin towers is acting like it never happened, an insult to the victims families. This gave us an opportunity to build bigger and stronger towers, and we did, meaning the terrorists actually lose. And it really doesn't matter if you never like 1WTC, its here to stay and youll just be causing yourself more grief than you need to.

WTC 1 "Freedom Tower" has wider stair cases so god for bead if a plane hits it more people can go at at the same time.
