It's all about the future, not history, that will decide how well each will do. Right now, CoD has Infinity Ward and Treyarch both committed to turning out CoD, while Bungie is no longer part of Halo, so the future isn't as certain.

Also, CoD isn't xbox exclusive. Nintendo is releasing a new console, idk what it's going to be, but all I know is Halo will never be played on it. CoD? Probably.
