  • u gotta a point dude

  • dis guy is gettin a really bad framerate 26fps wtf

  • @mamas1894 Dude... its maxed out lol. And anything above 30fps is good since the human eye cant tell the difference. 26 isn't that bad for a GTA 4 maxed out. Obviously i dont play it at these specs i reduce the view distance a bit.

  • @12dart12 I don't know where you learned that you can't tell the difference past 26, but that is totally untrue. I run my games at 120 fps/Hz on my alienware monitor and I can easily tell the difference between 20-60-80-100-120 fps. The entire feel of the game changes, since you get double fps, resulting in a smoother image. But I rest you assured, you WILL notice if you directly play a 26 fps game as compared to a 120fps game. It's like playing in Super HD.

  • @ObscureDubstep Well yes there will be a slight difference since the images will be closer together and seem more fluent. But playing a game at 30fps is still great. Why do you think films run at 25fps? Anything above 30fps is fine.

  • @12dart12 I agree it's good, but what I notice most is the fact that when you make quick movements, the fps may drop, causing the picture to break, such as ghosting (although that depends on the monitor as well).

  • @12dart12 lol thats such crap when people say the human eye can only see 30fps I can surely see the difference between 30 and 60 fps...

  • @jacobd782 Well yes because of frame transition. The human eye can only actually process about 15 different images every second. But the transition between each frame is what counts.

  • the fucking trees looking shit

  • if i use 1280x1024 would it lag?

  • @TheDriftRidge What graphics card?

  • @12dart12 gtx 560 phantom ti 2gb gddr5

  • @TheDriftRidge With that card, you could run at 1920x1080 res but i dont think you could max out the game graphics wise. You could for sure play it tho at atleast medium graphics.

  • @12dart12 what about hd6970?

  • @TheDriftRidge Uh... well thats the card im using in this video. So see for yourself

  • @12dart12 do you get around 60fps? would i on 1280x1024 get around 60? thanks alot ill subscribe for ur help :D

  • @TheDriftRidge Well maxed out at 1920x1080 i get around 30-40 fps. But if i was to max out at 1280x1024 i would probs get about 60+ fps. So yes you would :P

  • @12dart12 thank you. ill get hd6970 then :) my shit monitor saves a day (lol)

  • Hey buddy in this video...(which is extremely nice) I saw that in gta 4 game setting that ur resource which is high and steel stay at green colour. ( which is nice ) ,,so is it because of ur gpu or because of ur 2000mhz ram,,,? Please tell quick.....

  • @sunnyshinde100 The resource is the video memory. It gives you a estimate of how much video ram will be used. So yes its because of the 6970.

  • @12dart12 thanks for help....nice video ..so i assume that my pc (amd x4 be , hd 6970 and 8gb 1333mhz ddr3 ) will run this game smooth as u...?

  • Dont record with fraps if u wna show the fps -.-

  • Do you know the average FPS without fraps or whatever recording program you used?

  • Some day of this year, i would like buy a graphic for my pc, do you recomend this?

PD: I am a spanish boy , sorry if i make a mistake

  • @oblap96 Yes i would. It's a great card and performs amazingly. Will play any game you throw at it. But obviously if money isn't a problem go for the allmightly HD 6990. I would love to get that card but its so expensive. :(

  • @oblap96 go for 7970 ;) if you have money, obviously. For this moment its the most future card.

PS: Im from poland, sorry if i made mistake ;P

  • @Drzewo97 <3 polska

  • how ur resources ( in a game setting) get such high ?

  • its not maxed out. maxed out would be all settings on highest. not on very high.

  • @keeshond5 Very high is the highest option in most cases..... did you even watch the video? It was fully maxed out! All settings were at there highest option.

  • @12dart12 what a cartoon ----@keeshond5 ?

  • Recording fps?

  • @TexasLukas Recorded at 60fps using fraps.

  • @12dart12 thats nice i have i7 2600k and hd 6970 and i recording with 30fps what do you mean whats wrong ?

  • @TexasLukas Nothing, i never said anything was wrong!?!?

  • @12dart12 no no on my system, youre system rendering well

  • @TexasLukas Oh right, well lots of people are getting very different results to me even with the same hardware. Check the description for a full list of my specs and maybe you can work out whats different?

  • @12dart12 Your system is really good I have an i7-2600K and the HD6970 but with me it is a bit jerky on high it's something stupid

  • @TexasLukas Well the fact that you have the same graphics card as me, and you have a better CPU then i would of thought that you would be getting a bit higer fps. Check all your drivers. Update them all. Maybe look around on some forum sites see if anyone else is having similar problems. If you find out let me know :P im intrigued to find out what the hell is causing this massive difference in fps even on the same/better hardware then me. Thx :D

  • @12dart12 i let you know when i have the prblem found :D

  • So why do I lag with view distance at 30 and detail distance at 35 so much compared to you with fraps recording?

6950 CUII unlocked 6970 bios and overclocked to 950/1350

    AMD FX-8120 at 4.53Ghz

WD Caviar Blue HDD 2x1tb in RAID 0

I get like 45 fps in day time steady, but night time it drops to 30 fps and on bridges it drops to like 25 fps.

  • @GoldenMurderer Yer its strange. From all the comments i have been hearing the fps seems to vary even with the same card. Which means it must be something else like drivers, GTA versions, other hardware.

  • @12dart12 Is the Powercool PSU good? is it loud?

  • next time close v-sinc so youll get more fps

  • I got the Radeon HD 6970 as well and I lag, especially when moving the camera angle, no matter what settings, best or worst.

  • Will I be able to run GTA 4?:

AMD E-450 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.65 GHz

    4 GB DDR3

    500 GB HDD

  • IF you have a sandy bridge i5 or i7 you can run it maxed and record without lag, check my video out for proof.

  • well i got just the same specs as yours but i got a core i7 2600k 3.4 Ghz and i played this game n get 30-40 fps on maxed, is normal??

  • optimized for console not for pc

  • How do you overclock the card and fans and stuff in the cataclyst control center withput breaking the card? My GPU is Gigabyte 6970 OC (it's 900 mhz instead of 880 mhz) Can someone like give me advice on how to make this card perform at best pls.

  • hmm .. Didn't think GTA4 is so graphical intensive ..

I guess I won't be able to run it on my 6870 ...

  • @Hankextreme .... of course you will be able to run it on a 6870. Don't forget i maxed it out completly. If you reduced Anti Aliasing by 1 or 2 notchs you will propberbly increase your FPS by 20.

  • this should run even better with my 2500k :D

my card should be coming in like 3 hours!!

but i have to wait for my motherboard for another week :(

  • BAAAHHH humbug.. i got 6970's in cross fire and im running a res of 2560x1440 :-D i needs to OC them

  • Yeah...something wrong with your system. I hav a radeon HD 5770...and get 35+ fps on 1080p 3.4ghz quad with 4 gb ram. This card...should be getting at least 75+. Its a fucking 320$ card.

  • why u gettin fps lag? its like 20-25fps

  • @wardy92 Fraps is running and eats your computer. I dont lag at all when its not running. And tbh i wasn't lagging when i made this video. GTA 4 can be quite demanding.

  • @12dart12 i know but on gta 4 with that beast of a pc you should still be getting around 40fps while recording maxed out settings

  • @12dart12 On my 6990 I can run this game at 100% full settings and record at 60 FPS without any lag :P

  • @SuperRainbowPanda well im not suprised. If i get 25-30fps maxed out of a 6970 then ur gona get about double the fps on a 6990 since a 6990 is pretty much equlivent to a 2x 6970s

  • Why i can't install GTA 4 64 bit version?

  • You can fit the corsair vengeance memory sticks in the first memory slot

    (near the v8 cooler)?

  • @speedshaq Yes, Just. Its a very tight squeeze. :D

  • @12dart12 Use the Vengeance LP (low Profile) not the massive heat spreaders and i believe it runs just that extra bit faster

  • vsync stands for vertical sync, it doesn't improve your game quality, its just to avoid tearing effect on older screens, if you deactivate it your game will run A LOT smoother.

  • @widowmaker6000 But tbh it doesn't matter because vsync will limit my FPS to 60, and anything above 60fps the human eye cant detect. So you will see no improvement :P And i usually have it off anyway i just forgot to turn it off :P

  • @12dart12 Correction, the human eye can't see over 85 FPS.

  • @12dart12 not exactly, its true human eye cant distinguish clearly above 60 fps, but BELIEVE me, you will feel your game a LOT smoother at 80 or 100 fps, i dont know why, and vsync does not improve quality or gameplay, its just a stupid option used for compatibility.

  • @12dart12

i can tell the difference when my modern warfare 2 runs at 60fps and 120fps :S

i find it easier to play at 120

  • @12dart12 I can certainly tell a difference between the two.

  • @12dart12 human eye can detect ALOT more than 60 frames per second .... It's just that most monitors have 60 Hz or like 70 Hz rate and it is the thing that doesn't let you have more than 60 or 70 fps ! Depends on your monitors frequency ! :)

  • what were u using to record

  • @greengrass20092009 Good old fraps

  • ehehe you got killed :p

  • Comment removed

  • ur audio sux

  • @TheIKAIKAIKA Blame youtube :\

  • Hey, would you say that this card(with top notch system components) could run say... Crysis 2 maxxed?

  • @MinecraftZephos My system can runn crysis 2 maxed out easy. Easyer then crysis 1. Believe it or not but i think that crysis 1 is alot more demanding then crysis 2. I get like 60fps on crysis 2 maxed out and only get around 30-40fps on crysis 1 maxed out. But im yet to find a game which i cant play maxed out without lag on this card :D

  • @12dart12 hope you tryout BF3 maxed all settings, your card is amazing :))

  • @Sunny22Mario Thanks, and yer im planing on doing more of these. I have tried BF2 on max and get like 100fps easy. I am definatly going to get BF3 so when i get it ill make one :P Got loads of other games too to try time Dirt 3, Portal 2, L4D & L4D2, Crysis 2 and more :D

  • @12dart12 haha cool! i also get 100 fps on games like GTA IV, portal 2, dirt 3 maxed, it is soooo smooth! :D

  • vsync off = more fps

  • @tsmokers yes only if the fps hits 60. which it doesn't.

  • Hi there ,, will I be able to max gta iv at max settings with:

    i7-2600k 3.4GHz

    Sapphire HD 6970, 2GB GDDR5

    4gb ddr3 (2x2) 1600Mhz

    650W corsair...

Note : I dont still own this PC , Im planing to buy it :)

  • @Mateoknez8 yes easy you will have the same graphics card i own only i have the ASUS version which is slightly overclocked giving me a bit better performance. Yes you will be able to max out pretty much any game at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

  • GTA4 is a Video Ram whore :'( My 5870 could run it on very high, but I only have 1GB Video Ram so I get about 25 - 45 frames like that.

  • @comedyguy911 The guys in the vid only have 22-25 FPS.. :)

  • This card is insane for its price :)

  • @v1James1v agreed :D

  • PULL OVER YOU MANIAC!

  • @jigovani lol :P
