this is probably the best video i have seen with this camera. what kind of editing did you do in iMovie because it's very limited and this came out great!
@mecha890 Exact model. Otaku no Podcast is going to put up a video I took at New Year celebrations in Little Tokyo, LA, CA. I have been shooting 1080p 24mbps 30fps but I gotta run a check on Film Look real soon now.
WOW!!! OK, that's it, I'm using this for my documentary, I don't care what other people think. This is like Canon EOS Jr. as far as the look you get. Oh and I suspect the vignetting might have something to do with the wide angle adapter lens.
Thanks, also i run on a mac so the application disc they did to store my videos on my computer dont work. Do you know of any application I can download where i can import my videos from my camera to that program?
I dont think you can change the resolution on most camcorders/HDSLR's unless its for lets say 60p/720p or 30p/1080p or even 60i/1080i which are specific modes/settings.
most of the time you need to take the footage into a program and shrink it down from 1080p to 720p
@southpaw1991 upconverting is near impossible...unless youre rich as shit and even then it still wont be as good as just filming it that was...I think if you just google things it would be much smarter than asking on youtube...try researching yourself...
MXP FXP XP+ SP LP what is the best pick for filming short film speed
and
60 i and pf30 pf24
which one is the best for you to record a short film in
i have amazing stories i want to tell but i want the camera to give me the best picture. when i finish shooting i go on final cut express to edit. but right now i want is the best of the best
For frame rate use 24p. for program modes use CINE and try to choose XP+ to MXP for high bit rates.
From there the camera will choose the best settings for you so all that you may want to do is use manual focus in the quick menu for depth of field shots, otherwise your ready to create nice video!
also try to shoot in x.v. color, it has nicer image processing and it comes out a little bit richer.
from what i remember those are nice settings, my hf20 broke :( i shoot 550D
Ok I was with you right up to just about the end. I don't have Sony vegas having burned throught the trial period. So now I have a trial of Camtasia. It appears that you have these large MTS files on your desktop and I have yet to find a program that converts them. Is Vegas the only way to convert? When I drop one into Camtasia or Windows Movie Maker I get error message. How does one convert these MTS files before going in Camtasia? Thanks
I have the same camera and a mac, and I was wondering if you could take me through some of the steps you take to achieve this? (settings on camera and how to import)
I like the first shot and 0:31 especially, the colors are amazing.
@handsomevision i Use the CIN mode on the HF20 which flattens the image and expands some of the saturation of the image, shooting at 24 frames per second (23.976) makes it look a lil nicer. thanks for the favorites^^
