In general, you shouldn't imitate because your attention and the attention of the audience diverts to who you are imitating.

Also, I believe Sheikh Shuraim says you shouldn't imitate for a reason like the Qur'an is beautiful through all its various tones and voices.

The best imitators of Sheikh Ali Jaber are Matrood and Basfar.

This is what i like about Islam... Da Qur'an is there 4 all folks.. & if da Imam forgets a verse or two.. well, there is always someone behind him who'll jump in to correct him.

Here at the end, the Imam's distracted and introduces a verse that shouldn't be thar.. He is immediately corrected. He picks it up from thar. And that's that.
