@DrTranizRisingChaos I know the microphone Devin used in this video is the Shure SM7B but I am not sure if he would use a dynamic microphone for the lead vocals seeing that these are only the over dubs. Though I did recently find out that his two favourite microphones for studio use are the Shure SM78 and the AKG 414. So, perhaps he used the AKG since it is a high end condenser microphone.

@russianradio85 As someone mentioned, he is using a a Shure SM7B which although can be used for many applications is a great vocal mic, mostly because of it's cardioid shape and because it's built for maximum rejection from off axis sounds, so bleed will be a minimum anyway. Also, take into account, he is only dropping in overdubs here which he can trim easily. I doubt he would be recording whole vocal tracks in this manner.

@russianradio85 There is a technique with a phase trick to make the music cancel the bleed (if you google it you'll find lots of results). But I don't think he uses it on this videos as it requires the mic to be in one precise spot in front of the monitors.

It's a Shure SM7b. I was just remarking on this myself. The mic has a cardioid response though so it will have minimum response at an angle of 180 degrees. I guess the monitors don't bleed in enough to be a problem.
