@Grunvagr just because something has been written or done before doesn't mean it still can't be exciting! After all "book moves" are new and exciting when they are first learned by the audience, Kasparov and maybe even the great Grunvager!

Additionally, In match play the selection of what opening, has great significance, even if no moves are new. I do agree however, that the commentary was "dumbed down" too much. He could have gone deeper into the game still with enthusiasm.

Anand is right when we said that Kasparov retired very early. There is nothing to take offence by what he said. Most GMs play for a very long time. Anand was just expressing his regret at not being able to play a classic player like Kasparov anymore.
