  • You rock man. Good job.

  • Funky assss basssss!!!!! Good job!

  • Wow , I have been trying to figure this out for years. Great tone , cool bass and great playing.

  • Been playing 23 years, this is one of my favorite songs. I suck at slap, and watching you make it look easy is frustrating. Hope you don't mind if I watch and try and learn.

  • Great!

  • Excellent!! Well done!

  • kiiler. great.

  • Wow. great song, great bass (!!!!), great playing.

  • Bad-assed! Good to see someone nail the solo. One of my favorite bass songs. Thanks.

  • nice going sir!! Loved how you played this one. Your hand's cool, relaxed and heavy! I'm a bass player myself and I'll watch your videos for few times to learn stuff. Great playing man! Cheers. M

  • wtf, my kodak zi6 dosent sound this good

  • man thats awesome!

  • Oh my god...it's so hard for me trying to play that song...very very nice video...how long have you been playing bass dude ??

  • @Boobsonparade Thankyou, 25 years ; )

  • I don't usually care for slap bass, but I enjoyed the video and your bass playing. You demonstrated that good bass playing is worth listening too regardless of the technique used.

  • @MDionne001 Thankyou for saying so, it's one thumb line I've liked and toyed with for a long while, Cheers ; )

  • Very nice indeed dude !!

  • Your slap technique is great! So clean and precise. Are those upstrokes with your thumb?

  • @groovemark Thankyou Sir. It was only intended for an audio test, but I will upload a full version of the track in the near future. To answer your question, yes the doublethumb technique is needed for the solo section, the rest of the line/track is close thumb and index work ; )

  • Great video Skitch. Sound quality is good, and I envy your effortless way of playing this tune

  • @ceebras Thank you Sir, I'm glad you enjoyed ; )

  • In HD, no rattle

  • Actually a bit of rattle on the mic, decrease bass

  • Ah-mazing!! Feedback from the boys and I - backing track's too tinny, and too loud - would quite happily do away with backing track and listen to bass on its own.. headphones? Else use a video editing program to track up the backing track and video and adjust levels from there.

No clipping from the bass on the mic as far as I can hear, job's a goodun.
