Until now all I heard was the Joe Brown Concert for George version and that's how I heard about this song. Now hearing the original version, nothing against Joe Brown, but you just can't outdo this. Even before this only knowing the Concert for George version, it was one of my favorites from George's solo years. Now I like it even more, another masterpiece from the quite Beatle.
i find it sad that people turned their nose up at harrisons solo work. i guess they were just too used to seeing the beatles as a single force. personally i love it. as a matter of fact i just purchased this album on vinyl clean and sealed today!
This is one of my favorite songs. Ever. George is definately my favorite musician and many of his songs inspire me. He's actually the person that made me want to learn guitar in the first place. <3 :)
@giovlinn "There's an actor who hopes to fit the bill, sees a shining city on a hill. Step up close and see he's blind, wined and dined. All he has is pose." George wrote this great lyric upon learning that Ronald Reagan was elected president.
One of Harrison's best songs. He is still an underrated songwriter. If you put together all his best songs throughout his Beatle and soloyears you've got a full body of quality work.
@minime766 Agreed; I really hate it when smart-arses claim that after 'All Things Must Pass', he never did anything good. What about 'Try Some, Buy Some', 'Who Can See It?', 'Love Comes To Eveeryone' and numerous others? Not to mention the fantastic stuff he did with the Wilburys.

I love this one too... it is one of my all time favorites from him... Joe Brown does the song on the Concert for George and he did a fine job in doing so... Thank you...

George is a National Treasure. Why are the Beatles dying in the wrong order?
LordElpus1000 5 months ago
@LordElpus1000 Let's not put a list of who should die first please. They are human beings on the journey of life before they are The Beatles
