The reason this is happening is because the government is getting scared. They know the war on drugs is failing and people are realizing it.

Now the government is using "scare tactics" and "power". since this drug war is failing, if they don't want to give in yet, all they can do is make the war on drugs even bigger.

Everyone needs to continue to fight. If the governments "scare tactics" don't work, they might realize it might be time to finally legalize

Antone that follow the DPA should support Ron Paul for President. He is against marijuana prohibition, he thinks all Americans should be able to own a gun. He wants to eliminate the corporate tax to bring most of our manufacturing jobs back home and pave the way for more jobs to be created, and wants to eliminate the income tax so that we can all bring home almost everything we earn. All we have to do is decide that freedom and personal liberty are more important than the illusion of security

The notion intentionally conflates the failure of regulating personal medical drug use with an entirely different topic.

Now, even assuming the point had some merit, this notion only supports broader legalization efforts -- until they also step in to stop allowing guns to people that drink (then there might be a semblance of an argument).
