  • Im 12 and this made me laugh so hard this made my day!

  • And when we finally see Kermit reach his floor, they ask why he's late.

Of course, we'll hear Count in the background very softly saying "7! 7 floors! 8! 8 floors...!" and Kermit politely tells them that the elevator was out of service.

  • This is why there are no elevator operator's in England....DIY

  • Troll...

  • Trollcount...

  • At the end you can hear him counting from the outside as he goes up. LOL I LOVE the count!

  • 1 elevator 2 elevators 3 elevators 4 elevators 5 elevators.....................

  • You will go *up stairs* using THAT elevator! :)

  • 1- Even as an elevator operator, Count Von Count STILL looks like a pimp.

    2- Kermit pwnage @ 2:23

  • The Count's got OCD!

  • Walk this way.....

    SUPER!!

  • The count's counting antics always gets on everybody's nerve and now it hinders Kermit's effort to get to the 7th floor. Would have been a much shorter journey for Kermit if he got off on the 10th floor and went three floors down the stairs.

  • @Jenkinsmum Maybe Kermit would have done that but, the elevator doors didn't open and/or Count didn't open the elevator doors for Kermit to get out.

  • i bet grover was too busy to get this job

  • @DRUMMERMAN77 I agree. Grover has a huge amount of jobs like he works 24 hours. However, if Grover got this job and Mr. Johnson wanted a ride to a certain floor, Grover would show Mr. Johnson all the numbers, explain what an elevator is, and say that elevators go up and down with Mr. Johnson getting angry. Then at the end, Mr. Johnson probably would have fainted.

  • Suposed to be an Otis.

  • Lmao this is cute and funny...Kinda :L

  • Count held Kermit up from his Sesame Street News Flash.

  • Its wrong i laughed so much

  • I remember that show :)

  • Lol what an asshole

  • HELLavator.... AH AH AH!!!

  • is the count a vampire????

  • @webkinzrocks300 Yes he is :)

  • @webkinzrocks300 Suppose to be. HA! HA! HA!

  • the lightning makes me think that Count and Cermit are on the elevator of the Tower of Terror Hotel, I would love to see the elevator drops down fast to the 1st floor.

  • Otis Bell.

    Not an Otis indicator, though.

  • Dover controller!!! :D

  • this is funnny

  • Kermit is very good at getting angry, isn't he?

  • Don't get me wrong..I love the Count. But would you really get in an elevator with a guy that looks like that?

  • If I were Kermit, I report the Count to his Boss and Tell him he's goofing around the Elevator.

  • I wonder what were teh qualifications for this job? Kermit can get a workout by going up the stairs whie the count keeps counting his floors!

  • Maybe the qualifications were to must know how to work the elevators very well when going floor to floor and must know how to fix elevators if there is an elevator problem or if the elevator broke down.

  • Also, one other thing.

That's true that Kermit can get a workout when taking the stairs while The Count counts every floor as he mentioned at 2:20 but, maybe Kermit was in a hurry to get to the seventh floor which is why he said "The Stairs" at 2:24. (Probably Kermit had to do a news report on the seventh floor which is the reason why he was wearing his trench coat and hat which is what he wears when doing news reports, and I guess his microphone was with the camera crew on the 7th floor).

  • @afriendofbean It would be interesting to see what it is that he would be reporting on? Anyplace else in the video to indicate what kind of building?

  • @afriendofbean I wonder then what the breaking event was to report on LOL! I think I remember seing this as a kid.

  • Maybe this skit takes place in a mall with ten floors so maybe (I know this wouldn't look good to show on Sesame Street but, it could be one reason) in one of the stores at the mall on the seventh floor, there was a shop lifter with police arresting the shop lifter and so Kermit was called by the police to report the shop lifter on the news. Or, maybe there was a lost child in the mall on the seventh floor with the police helping him/her, and so Kermit was reporting this child on the news.

  • @afriendofbean A lostchild would be more "Sesame Street Like." I couldn'timagine him covering a news story about a shop lifter, which brings up another question. What is the most violent thing or anything close to shop lifting that was ever reported on "Sesame Street News?"

  • The shop lifting was just a guess since that is something that can be used to report someone on television on the news.

In answer to your question about violent thing or close to shop lifting, there was a thief who was on Sesame Street, (he's not on Sesame Street anymore) his name was Lefty. Lefty appeared in skits with Ernie where he tried selling a stolen item to Ernie for a nickel, and if Ernie said something loud, he shushed him which showed the audience that he was a thief.

  • Also, Lefty appeared in a skit where he was arrested by the police where him and his boss stole a "Golden AN" and Lefty's boss told him what to do with the "Golden AN", and when Lefty was going over the plan to himself, a police officer saw him and arrested him, and with the police arresting Lefty also showed the audience that Lefty was a thief on Sesame Street. (If I were to take a guess, if Kermit was reporting a shop lifter, maybe it was Lefty).

  • @afriendofbean Interesting! Has anyone uploaded that to youtube? When did this skit go on?

  • Yes, the "Golden AN" skit is on YouTube, and the skit is either from the 1970s or the 1980s. I will email you the "Golden AN" skit and I will also email you a picture of Lefty.

  • I just love how he says "elevator operator". :)

  • me too. He just says it so catchy.

  • 7...7 floors..this is it.....6...6 Floors.....NO NO NO I WANTED TO GET OFF ON THE 7TH FLOOR

  • They walk weird

    LOL thnx 4 uploading

  • LOL

It's so funny when The Count says: "Walk this way" and Kermit literally walks that way.

    ^_^

  • Kermit should've known what he was getting into here! :P

  • I think Kermit and Bert have the shortest tempers on Sesame Street.

  • This sketch appears on:

    "Learning About Numbers" (1986)

    "Sesame Street" episode 2283 (February 4, 1987)

    "Sesame Street" episode 3139 (November 25, 1993)

    "Plaza Sesamo" episodio 907 (2006)

  • HAHAHAHA!! This was AWESOME! I've never seen it on TV before! What year does this skit take place in?

    Thanks again for posting!

  • LOL So funny!!

  • Why does it always storm whenever the Count does that laugh of his?

And why does he do it in the first place? It just doesn't make sense to me.

  • He's a vampire. Therefore he has magical powers. His grandparents make it rain and snow when they count. He always does the laugh after counting. Why? Because he loves to count.

  • I...see. Well, that leaves me with:

    1. Where did you hear about his grandparents...or is that just a joke?

    2. Why does he make it storm?

    I'm just curious.

  • 1. There was an obscure episode that briefly featured his mother, brother, his uncle "Uno," and his grandparents.

    2. Why are my eyes blue? It's an inherited trait.

  • Wait a minute. i didn't ask you the color of your eyes....oh, wait. You just don't know. Okay, I get it. I'm gonna shut up now.

  • *slaps forehead*

The point was that he INHERITED the trait, since his family have similar abilities. Think magic genes.

  • *slaps eyes* I feel like such an idiot right now! I am so sorry.

You're saying that tha Count is just carrying on his family's tradition of altering the weather...and evidently, the Count chose thunderstorms.

  • I don't think it's tradition personally. I think it's genetic, like my blue eyes are genetic.

  • Well, yeah, i guess that could be, too.

  • @menslady125

I think it's bcause he's supposed to be a spoof of Count Dracula :)

  • @sweetlife031:

Umm, not a very convincing one, then. I mean, I don't remember Dracula going around saying "Look out! I am going to count things!"

  • AH AH AH!! What a unique laugh.

  • thank you for this, I LOVE this episode =D

love kermit !!!! and count, and sesame street =D

  • HELLavator

  • That's exactly what it seems like. LOL.

  • lol he gets a high off counting

  • The Count is such an asshole! xD

  • I'll say! Yeesh, he can't manage just to count to seven?

  • Would you belive that the Boston Distribution center for the USPS still employess 31 full time elevator opperators to this day

  • "I have to hop? In my trenchcoat?" Oh man, what a classic way to end a skit. :)

  • The lightning in the background is classic!

  • Grover is a much better elevator operator

  • When The Count promised to take Kermit back down to the Seventh Floor, he shouldn't have kept counting down when Kermit told him to stop at the Seventh Floor because like Kermit said, "Elevator Operators are supposed to take people to whatever floor they want to go to in the building," rather than ignoring Kermit's advice.

  • It was nice to have The Count take the elevator and go to the Seventh Floor, and have Kermit hop up the stairs to meet him there as well.

  • hahaahahahahahah

  • The Count should be fired immediately!!!!!!!

  • He should, especially for ignoring Kermit's advice as of not taking him to the Seventh Floor when he promised to.

  • Why not? That's what everybody thinks.

  • Comment removed

  • I.m sure he was seeing as he did not apear in any more skits as an elevator operator.

  • Why was Kermit even going upstairs to the seventh floor? And don't say Miss Piggy.

  • Maybe Kermit needed to go to the seventh floor because he probably was expected to do a news report on the seventh floor which could be the reason why he was wearing his trench coat and hat (the only thing he was missing was his microphone) which he usually wears when he does Sesame Street news reports with fairy tale characters. Maybe Kermit was also in a hurry that he needed to take the elevator instead of the stairs which is why he looked disappointed at 2:25 saying "The Stairs!"

  • The way they get on the elevator is great. Almost as great as Kermit pitching a fit. And almost as great as the Count telling Kermit to bugger off. ;)

  • LOL @ how kermit walks into the elevator

  • Count would be a great Boxing Or Wrestling Referee.

  • I love the Count! And Kermit getting mad is always a funny thing. I remember seeing this bit

  • 12345678910

  • sinbce when was kermit apart of sesame street?????????? i thought he was with the muppets

  • Kermit's almost always been a part of Sesame Street. He's a bit of a crossover character if you will.

  • They are all considered Muppets

  • In case you didn't know, he appeared on Sesame Street many times during the first 20 seasons (with the exception of Season 2), then after Jim (Henson) died, he started appearing for special events (as a reporter), then in Season 32, he was no longer supposed to be used in new material without permission. The only time after Season 32, that we ever saw Kermit on Sesame Street was in Do De Rubber Duck.

  • "I have to hop? In my trenchcoat?"

Oh, I love Kermit. He and Cookie Monster were always my favourites.

  • Oh the count rocks i love it when people go mad over his never ending counting thanks for uploading this

  • Why is there a thunderstorm on the elevator?

  • When the Count laughs, there is a always lightning...or there used to be. They may have stopped doing that.

  • Yes because it was scaring to children. In fact, Bert's eyebrow going up and down and Fozzie's ears wiggles his ears.

  • I love it when Kermit freaks out. XD I felt sorry for him when I was a kid because he couldn't get to the floor he wanted.

  • I've always wondered why he needed the 7th floor. Was his news office up there, or something, since he was in his reporter garb?

  • I know. The Count should've listened to Kermit when he kept his promise to take him back down to the Seventh Floor, however it was nice for The Count to give Kermit an oppertunity to hop up the stairs and meet The Count while he rides the elevator to the Seventh Floor.

  • Yeah but like many people I am sure he got fired for not doing the job right.

  • The count can't stop! Lol.

  • Classic count, he is the main man-so NOW!
