cool tips, i will definitely take your tips into consideration when i re-pot my azalea. My azalea was growing outside for quite a while before i uprooted and put it into a pot. The branches are pretty spread apart, any tips on how to prune the tree to give it a more bonsai look?? right now the tree is about as tall as your azalea tree, but my branches span out more
@collegeSuxlikeDis If your desire is more branches, there are really no shortcuts beyond growing new ones. IF you are having trouble getting the tree to bud in the right place you may have to resort to drastic pruning...prune most all of the foliage off...the plant will react by forcing buds all over the trunk.
