someone commented on the meaning of this beautiful nasheed... and first...let me say that currently i'm not muslim .... however....here's how i see it...

we have too much going on around us.... too much noise ...too much clutter... too much technology even maybe.... if we can't hear the drums.... how can we hear whats really important.... how can we feel God's miracles around us ... how can we even know whats still important.

to me a beautiful nasheed and one i listen to often.

if there was something major wrong with the instruments or even minor then i dont think brother wharnsby, yusuf islam, zain and all the other muslim singers out there would engage in it.. cat stevens when he first became muslim he gave up his instrumenst and singing because he wasnt sure, he is a rold model to me (although i an still not as good as a muslim) but he has come back to using them after doing his research. i trust him to be doing the right ting.,

just because cat stevens did something does not make it right. we should look at the hadith and sunnah, not an individual.

and fyi cat did not take up musical instruments by himself, nor was he researching the matter when he took them up again. he was advised to do so by the imam of the mosque he went to

Music is in this nasheed making it clearly haram i think i can remove that music background but i don't think poem is so good for muslims

Brother u can use AV Morpher Gold to remove some instruments but by doing this quality of sound track may decrease ok . by the way i think that in future people would use accapella and beatbox(music from mouths) rather than haram instruments. New revolution xD

@changedmyself the poem doesn't exactly mean Why Are The Drums So Silent.t it means why don't we understand things and see things and hear things that we should. The drums are just an expressions. It doesn't have a literal meaning rather a more complex and deeper meaning that has to do with Islam. At least thats what I think

@alaqsafighter i use "Av Morpher gold" and "Audacity" but believe me they can effect the quality of the track so i suggest u to hear non instrumental nasheeds.. :-*

subhanAllah look even without music this nasheeds sounds so beautiful....it gives the message that why we so busy in our wordly lives that we cant even hear and enjoy the recitation of Quran and the great beauty of being a momin(pious muslim)....may all of us dedicate our lives to spread the word of Islam...may Allah give us the opportunity to enjoy the great and everlasting feeling of calling others to this complete way of life...jazakiAllah khair sis keep it up :)

and he is saying the marching (towards the garden of eden) has stopped

he is also talking about vain talk that has no benifit - and the same way we read Quran 'but do the words sinck further than our throats?'
