I'm not going to be a self righteous "purist" and say this thing sucks, because it doesn't. This guitar is excellent for bar bands. I've seen bands play in small bars and the guitarist brings 3 or 4 guitars for 2 hours worth of music, or he/she brings 1 and spends a half hour of that 2 hours tuning between different songs. This thing eliminates a lot of the tuning time, and almost eliminates the need for multiple guitars, almost. The more time spent playing=a happier audience=good publicity.
@TheGoodbytes Just trying to make the point that it's a bit exessive as far as tuning devices go, of course I'm not a master tuner, but I'm at very least capable of tuning a guitar manually without a robot doing it for me X) It all just comes down to whether or not you need something that can do a minute's work in a second. Personally, I don't find it necessary, but I can also see how it's easily any guitar player's dream! :P
@MeecrobOdell i can also tune a guitar manually, however i could not tune it by ear to the temepred scale so it's not actually just lazyness when musicians use a tuner, sometimes it's because you want open chords to sound in tune better
@MeecrobOdell dude, either you are jealous because you cant afford this guitar or you think you're to good for this meganism, i even don't know why you call us suckers, but i really want to know, if you can tune your guitar in a drop c/b/a or even lower with only using your ears. Good luck!
@MeecrobOdell you cannot tune accurately by ear for drop C, B, or half step down.. human ears cannot capture accurate hertz of a string.. do you know to adjust E string to 44kHz just by your ears?? (without any reference)
@kirkhassan I can get pretty close, and I'm just some kid. No perfect pitch, just patience... Sure, it might be off by a few cents, but it's close enough that most people can't tell the difference and, if need be, I'll grab a tuner...
@kirkhassan actually a good way to get quite close is to replay a song in your head. Chevelle plays in Drop B, and when i restring my guitar, i just replay a song, and i can get within ten cents. I don't have perfect pitch by any means, but it is possible. You can just tell when it sounds right i guess.

You couldn't give me that thing. If it didn't exist in 1952, it's not going on my guitar.
